Default Highly Sensitive Person

There was a mention on here little bit ago about people classed as
Highly Sensitive Person (HSP)

It comes up and is discussed in this podcast Gabor Maté talking to Alanis Morisette
Alanis is a bit of an interrupting isabella but its all good

I like what he has to say about addiction too, not that it's a disease but as a response to pain/discomfort. That fits better with my experience of addiction. Enjoyed it, thanks

^ / ^^ Yeh I like his analysis of childhood trauma, addiction & mental illness.

He's all for plant based healing for trauma/anguish and has a bunch of books coming out this year.

I think I may want to marry him

Some good reading...

Those look great, I'l have a read in my break it was interesting what they said about trauma when in utero - I was adopted so imagine my birth mother had an emotional time while carrying me and then the subsequent separation after i was born.
If read about ayahuasca and mushrooms being useful, I'd be terrified of a bad experience which might perpetuate one...shame :-/
Cheers

^ Aye, I'm not convinced yet with ayahuasca et al, I think they're incredibly personalised and unique in terms of treatment
The need for treatment needing a prior individualised bespoke work up to determine the theraputic dose, otherwise it's just so much potential for carnage
