How old were you when you found out that there was no Santa Claus?

I was 10. At my Aunt's, I saw him wave at me through the attic window, flying in the sky all lit up on his sleigh as he went by. I didn't realise the conifers in the front lawn had hidden the truck he was on.. I still get ribbed about it now!

About 7, the santa who came into my room that night (although certainly looked the part, though a bit thinner than I'd always been led to believe though hehe) sounded suspiciously a lot like my stepdad!
