It's hard to explain, my mind just goes into overdrive and I start pacing around the room. I've managed a few but I've noticed it's particularly bad if there are more than a few people on the call, also if I don't know some of the people, all those eyes staring back at you.

I'm similarly bad with big groups in real life too.

^ It just takes practice, best to start on an easy kit. I have done over 30 from small to huge, you have to be patient.

Me and about 5 of my cousins have been sharing old (as in from 40 - 80 years ago) photos with each other in our f/b group. Took me ages to scan some but it has been oddly good fun looking at them.

Are you enjoying it, Dimples?
Ooh you should get back into it Nanuq It can be quite addictive I reckon. Oh god I wouldn't work well with a sewing machine either, I'd probably end up in A&E

I did enjoy it yeah, although the kawaii lemon I was meant to make now looks a little high on life

^ I got a kit off esty and it had everything you need but some of the stitches were harder than I thought they would be.

I am a serial stitcher, have been doing it for about 35 years, I have 2 on the go at the moment, a Heaven and Earth Designs picture (about 144,000 stitches) on 21 count aida been doing off and on for about 2 years and a map of Ireland (half done).

I am also halfway through a 3ft x 18" tapestry of the last supper.

I find that it really helps my mental health when I do them, helps me to unwind.

I started when I was about 17, when I was convalescing after a nasty appendix operation, it was about 2 hours away from bursting, ended up in hospital for a week. Then off work for another 6 weeks.

Apologies for the picture sizes not quite got the hang of it yet.

Here is the Tapestry of The last Supper, it is scrolled on a floor frame at the moment, so you can only see the middle third.

Here are some Cross Stitches I have Completed.

Humphrey they are great! Superb detail too.

Nanuq, I think I'm similar to you - while sorting out my cupboard I found a jigsaw puzzle which I started 4 years ago. I got bored and just put it back in the cupboard!

Very impressive Humphrey!

I'm drinking a cup of green tea. Not sure why, as it's not really my cup of tea.

I've also been doing some gardening as well. I'm not normally a fan of gardening, but what with the current times, it's a welcome distraction. I even found myself appreciating the nature that is around me. Like hearing how the birds are singing. Then being in awe of how a couple of ants are able to pull a blade of grass right past me. While also hearing someone say in the distant background to give it a rest you silly cow. Which is when the wind in my sails for nature became a bit less saily

Anyway, I would like to end this post with a classic:

Shaving me hair off. There's now more hair on the bottom of my head than the top. Feeling the urge to draw some kind of upside down features on.
