Re: Random Questions (3)
The company I work for has asked a colleague to carry out traces on some aged debt accounts (former customers who have been in debt for a while, many of whom will never end up paying) which results in a "legal admin charge" of £10 being added to the debtor's account. Our manager has explicitly told him that this is because the ceo is looking to improve the share price by inflating the amount of debt owed to us. Does anyone know if this is:
- Dodgy but legal? - Illegal? - Not dodgy or illegal? For further context, the company has a history of doing dodgy stuff, and I can also well believe the management would be stupid enough to tell us about their dodginess. Maybe it's common practice though, i wish I had more knowledge of these things. |

^ EDITED incredible advice, you should have seen it, oh man if only you read it I would be on your christmas card list but no, late to the party again. Next time be on time and this wont happen.

^ Ah, ok that does seem reasonable. I'll take this one off the list of reasons they are dodgy feckers. Thanks for the advice, like I say I don't really know much about this stuff.

How on Earth has Cambridge managed to make public transport worse for me now, during the school holidays, than it was during term time?

Re: Random Questions (3)
Why does my central heating tell me its 25.5 degrees on my stairs, its set to 21 degrees.
What is heating my house up ? Am I either :- A: built on an indian burial ground ? B: built on a volcano ? C: so delirious through this crazy heat that I am inventing this fictional heat ? I know my next door upstairs flat is empty. All I can think is they put the heating on full. Its kind of chilled downstairs. Answers please before I slump in my garden. |

I'm going with Stagecoach being out to get me over that, my smartcard didn't work last Monday morning on the bus either so I had to fork out for an unnecessary day ticket. |

Re: Random Questions (3)
I do use the bike two days a week already, I don't want to do more than that though as I'm getting on a bit now and it would tire me out too much (I need to save my legs so I can have a "nice" ride at weekends).

Re: Random Questions (3)
Oh, and I wore out my second bike so I'm just using my "weekend" bike for everything now and it's really not a great commuter (not really comfortable enough on the rough roads).

^ In the drive is fine.
You cant take it on the road and that includes test drives. Despite what people think other peoples insurance very rarely covers using other cars unless that other car is already covered on somebody else's policy. |

Re: Random Questions (3)
What free stuff do you get with your curry takeaway?
I get the odd poppadom, quite a few if it's a big order. I get a bag of chopped veg. I get a yoghurt dip thing if i order onion bhajis. |

Re: Random Questions (3)
^^^ Of course, that goes without saying. Strange that you get salad with poppadoms - nice thing about the chutney though, that would be welcome.
^^ That's quite sad, Mo. Get yourself one some day. ^ Meh, it's alright eating out but there's the formality of it and i can't be arsed with it most the time i fancy Indian. Oh, and 99% of the time i've got no one to go with, almost forgot about that! Haha, we'd end up feeding the crackers to the ducks then cos i'm not a fan either! |

Fair enough, at least it may get used, i usually sprinkle it about like a garnish (cos i'm a twat).
