Schindlers List, The Pianist -definitely did, a bit more than a tear. Anything similar probably would move me in the same way watching films about war often makes me feel incredibly angry too.

Artificial Intelligence.
I honestly do cry at absolutely anything though- except most films which seems to be odd. I cry when X Factor contestants cry, I cried when an anorexic girl on telly's dad cried. |

The scene in "I Am Legend" when Smiths character has lost the dog and is pleading with this mannequin to talk to him was pretty rotten. Mind you i've never actually "cried" watching movies, some do bring tears to my eyes if the scene's pretty poignant or relevant to me. |

Re: Name a film that NEVER fails to bring a tear to your eye
[Pedant] re Watership Down, Bright Eyes actually plays during a sequence in the middle of the film, when the rabbit Fiver who is a sort of 'seer' had a vision of the Black Rabbit of Inle. Hazel dies at the end of the film, when he is a happy tired old bunny, and the Black Rabbit comes to him and says :-
"You've been feeling tired," said the stranger, "but I can do something about that. I've come to ask whether you'd care to join my Owsla. We shall be glad to have you and you'd enjoy it. If you're ready, we might go along now." And off he hops[/pedant] |

'Contact' when the aliens communicate with Jody Foster's character by representing themselves as her long-lost dad. Then at the end of the film the first credit just reads 'for Carl' because Carl Sagan died before it was finished...

Re: Name a film that NEVER fails to bring a tear to your eye
Loads of films make me cry so I'll just name a few that no-one has mentioned.
Bicentennial Man When Harry Met Sally (happy cry) Bridge To Terabithia (unnecessarily sad film, never going to watch it ever again) Pursuit Of Happyness (cried all the way though and is the reason I'm never going to watch Seven Pounds) |

"Sophie's Choice" starring a young Meryl Streep.
The "choice" scene has to be one of the most disturbing moments in mainstream cinema. |

If you can get past all the graphic lesbian sex, Gia is actually a really sad, powerful film.
Someone mentioned Of Mice and Men, which I had to hold back the tears to when we watched it in English in year 10. Very sad. |
