I've had a good day today because...

I thought I'd start a positive thread about good days as it's very easy to always post about bad days.

I'm going to cheat slightly as I had a really good day yesterday but was too tired to start this thread.

Yesterday I went into London with my best friend, something we haven't done in ages. We went to see the Gaugin exhibition at the Tate, a spot of shopping and noodles in Chinatown and then to see the King's Speech in Leicester Square. Haven't done a day out like that in ages and went to bed very happy and content.

.One car sent a kerbside puddle flaring up but I saw him coming, sidestepped into someones garden & avoided getting drenched:trophy2:

I had a good day yesterday and i have no idea why and i am not going to analyse it I just felt really chipper for some reason. I want more. give me.give me.

I love days like this, where you haven't planned activities to make you happy you just have a good day 'just because'. They are rare but so wonderful when they happen. I want more too.

ok I'm using yesterday too because I've not done anything except look for jobs today

My bf came back to my hometown with me to see my parents for lunch, we had a nice roast dinner and then went for a walk and showed him various places from when I was a kid, it was a good day and I love that he gets on with my family and always shows an interest

I made chocolate buns and enjoyed making them. I took my dog to the school field during the daylight (haven't been out through the day in a few days).

Last night my best friend had a baby boy!

I had a 1-2-1 with my line manager, who said that other managers think I work hard etc., he also said he thought I was a positive influence on the team as it had been a bit fraught before I arrived and I seem to have brought people together. He also said that one of the ladies I thought was really confident was actually really shy socially and was trying to fit in more with the team, I remembered that she had asked me to go for lunch and so I asked if she was free today and she was and as we were sitting in the canteen another team member came in and joined us. So that was my first team lunch with team colleagues since I came back 3 months ago - and it was really pleasant and we;ve all said we will do it again!

Okay, I'm going to cheat and use Monday as my good day. I do voluntary work on Monday afternoons for a local charity. I had a review with a manager and I've had really good feedback from people who attend the group. So pleased about this!
