Social anxiety and cuicidal thoughts.

I've suffered with social anxiety since around the age of 14, however only recently started thinking about suicide. Whilst it's not something I'm thinking of acting upon, it's still a first for me and I'm not sure how to deal with the thoughts.. Any advice?

I'm so sorry you're having these feelings, Rachlou Do you think something specific has triggered them? There's a sticky thread at the top of the SA Room on this subject, you will find some helpful advice and information there.

As mentioned in that thread, a lot of people have these thoughts at times, for various reasons. Have you talked to your GP about the SA?

There is a lot going on in my personal life right now.. I've been trying various treatments with my GP for years now and I'm on medication, but nothing really helps like I want it to you know :/

it helped my ex taking him the anxiety group, they talked about their mental health and SA and it he started to understand it after that. he had no clue before.
