Fretting about all the people I've mortally offended today and how I will be fired / chased out of the building by an angry mob the moment I walk in tomorrow. Nice sense of proportion there, anxiety!

You take it off before you two? Bad luck either way
Thanks Maybe it's weather-related or a moody Monday. I have been feeling especially insecure about the housing situ recently - i've barely seen my dad these past few weeks, he's been really distant, hardly any communication, and i don't know where i stand i.e. does he want me out? how long have i got?. The family feels fractured, my grandad's 'dying', i haven't mentioned that here. Yeah ... |

Thanks, Mo & biscuits
He's been unwell for over a year now with UTI's, a general/advancing 'getting old' state of mind and a recent cancer scare (which wasn't as bad as anticipated). Not to go into detail but he's kinda thrown the towel in and gotten himself into a depressive state. |

^^^ Sorry to read about your Grandad, Spud. I hope things pick up for him.
Mine's had a bit of a rough time of it recently too, and it hasn't been nice to see him struggle with things. He does seem a little better than he was, but he's still far from his spritely, I'll-get-up-on-the-roof-and-jet-wash-it-if-I-fancy self. It's like he's got really old all of a sudden. |

first of all...now let me try to sound tactful and also completely neutral. ok i am projecting a mild vanilla fragrance. many people celebrate fullsome buttocks these days. just saying. lots of people (both men and women and also whatever else exists) cant get an ass no matter how they try. that aside... the running thing, a few years ago i was having really serious problems with pain and i thought that basically i was only ever going to get worse. there is a half marathon every year in a place i really love and i just figured if i was ever going to do it i had to do it before i got even more decrepit. i got a couch to half marathon program and i had to adapt it to work around my aches and pains but having a program meant that i didnt make the mistakes that people do, like people just dont understand the correct ways to do running training. i lost a lot of weight training for that half marathon, to be honest i found it very hard but thats more to do with how hilly it is where i train. i also got some major props from people i know because doing a 2 hour run like that is beyond most peoples comprehension. theres no need to do a half marathon or ever run those distances, you could do a couch to 5k program or whatever, but i do find running beneficial in so many ways. one of the benefits i get every day is, its hard to give in to that lethargic/nailed-to-the-sofa feeling when you know you can literally run non-stop for an hour/half an hour/twenty minutes/whatever it is you do. its like a way of proving to yourself over and over that you can do tough things. thats great. so in terms of working it out, if i am not training for something specific then i just do something like 2, 3 or 4 miles, maybe 2-3 times a week, just so that i know i am still a badass superhuman cardio tank, and that i will still be tough and salty when i next pick my training up. and if i am training for something (right now its a ten miler), then i just follow a variation on my original program from the half marathon. the calorie counting thing, i just use myfitnesspal, a free app. its been kind of interesting too, like for example when you are trying to stay inside a target and you start to realise that a cappuccino is going to mean you cant have a snack later, when you can easily switch to an americano, or if i would just non-chalantly have a glass of milk with my tea then thats also probably gonna be a snack i cant have later on...its also been highly beneficial to realise how little calories there are in whisky compared to beer myfitnesspal lets you program in your activity level and it works out roughly how much you need to be eating. you can set the amount of weight you would like to lose each week and it will adjust your calorie goals accordingly. if anything i have been surprised by just how much i can eat and still lose some weight, knowing the calorie numbers sometimes means you will realise at 8pm that you can still have a thousand calories that day xD because i did a 7 miler today i had a fatty breakfast, a snack, just had a big filling meal and i still have OVER TWO THOUSAND CALORIES to find today a homemade curry will take care of about 1000 of that and then, yknow, um, i can just eat like a fat beast the rest of the night after that |

Pfft i wrecked 10k already today and every week for ages x3 its a ten miler im doing, its in a couple of weeks. The aim this time is just to main a preposterous level of composure throughout, not trying to be fast, just nonchalant
You should probably stop running to grow yr butt tbh. Speaking from personal (and very flat) experience ~_- |
