How long do requested bans last for?

Also, (this probably sounds like a really silly question) if a permanent ban is requested does this mean that you can never access the site again under any username?
And would a ban (temporary or permanent) mean I would be prevented from posting again AND viewing other peoples posts?

Hope some of that makes sense!

^ You can request a ban of any length; 24/48/72 hours, 1 week, 1 month, six months, etc.

A permanent ban means that you will be unable to log in to the site. You would not be able to post. You can still access parts of the forum and read threads in certain areas as a 'guest' and without being logged in. To lift a permanent ban you would need to contact us, there's a link on the SAUK home page, requesting that your ban be lifted.

Oh I forgot to mention. If you're permanently banned then you cannot access that account only. If you have other accounts then you can still log in on those. The ban is linked to an individual account.
