Default Social services assessment tomorrow

It was suggested by my stepdaughter when the psych nurse did her preliminary visit on my moving to the area.

I'm thinking do I really need help as in being a genuine case or am I just a loser who should pull himself together.?
Does anyone else go through this?

No, you're not a loser. I don't know much about social services assessments but given the situation in all public services at the moment they're unlikely to put anything in place for you unless they think you really need it. But they might have some ideas of things that could help you.

Hope it goes ok tomorrow.

Nooo, definitely not ‘a loser who should pull himself together’ but someone who struggles with mental health issues and deserves all the help available to make your life a little easier

Good luck with the assessment Firemonkey

They may also be aware of additional payments or grants to which you might be entitled.

I didn't gain too much from my assessment, but I do have a key worker as a result and she advocates on my behalf (I do have to tell her what to say most of the time, but they listen to her rather than me because she has better letters after her name than I have); recently, she has been especially useful in my ESA and PIP reassessments (the latter of which is still ongoing) as the DWP has accepted her assessment of my condition, in the absence of a GP.

Anyway, it's nothing to worry about, but if you have time, make a list of anything which you think might make your life easier and be honest with the social worker about your needs and the things you find difficult. I hope they're able to help you in some way.
This sounds like excellent advice to me.

I had my social services assessment today. My stepdaughter was there . It went ok.
My problem is thinking I***8217;m undeserving. My stepdaughter works for a care agency ,and says there are those who get a lot more than me and are in less need of it.

Seem to have headed them off at the pass thru penumbra no way they're gtg a chance to damage me when they've ruined my family and teenager....3 times. I've proven last few months thru church support I socialise perfectly appropriately in different settings it's my nbors they need to sort out...and that's a pipedream.
