Anxiety levels sky high today, cant even bring myself to go and get much needed bottle of milk! Plus have just got unexpected bout of hay-fever (yes in October) eyes streaming; nose running etc. Think I might have to write this one off and hope tomorrow bears better fruit!

Sorry about your budgie Ali

Hope you feel better soon BorrowedMum. Yesterday I was too scared to switch on the tv, just the thought of it was making me anxious.

Having extreme mood swings at the moment, one minute I'm fine and happy, the next I'm in floods of tears and wanting to end it all.

Also in a lot of pain due to slipped disc/sciatica, not helped by falling over in the garden yesterday.

Crappy. Got woken early with really shitty IBS pains, then finally nodded off again to have the postman ring the door....argh.

January blues beginning to set in. Second day back at work and the 11 day christmas break I had already seems a long time ago. Still at least going back on wed means the weekends here already.

I'm wondering why my go to coping strategy is to eat everything in sight and then hide in bed with my head under the covers. I'm sure I should be able to do better than this by now!

Hugs Clementine, I feel the same right now.
Even seeing my grandsons for an hour this afternoon hasn't helped, first time I've seen them since before Christmas and they only live 5 mins away.

Not great, wish I'd tried to get new jobs years ago when I had more energy about me because I don't think I can do it now what with still having all the anxieties/stresses and the added problem that my current routine just drains all the life-force from me.

Like a deflated balloon!
I just seem to be constantly waiting for others to get their act together (work) or struggling to get anything done (home)
The procrastination is starting to creep in and the blinkers are on!
Need a huge boost, know only I can initiate one!
Its hard trying to stay positive
So hate January its such a depressing month
Hope others are feeling a bit more buoyant than me!

Haha yes Clementine, well put!
Just hate the dark afternoons and recently the dark whole days, think theres a lot of truth in SAD, always feel way more depressed on these dull days!
I'm not against Winter as such, I dont mind the cold as long as I can get warm and love crispy bright Winter days out walking the dog but I long for the first signs of Spring and the lighter evenings!
Thanks for the virtual pump and the hug

Menopausal. I'm feeling menopausal which doesn't help at all. Bloating, ageing skin, loose skin, hot flashes. It's great getting older

Have you tried melatonin which you can get form Holland & Barrett which is what the body produces when it's sleepy? Worth a try

Ah yes hormones, wonderful things

I'm going for an injection in my thumb in an hour, been so anxious all morning I don't know what I'm doing, walking round talking to myself and feeling like I'm not really here.

Going to my daughter's for a couple of days after that though so lots of doggy cuddles, hopefully that will help.

Suicide's always in the background, and it's worse when it's a chill whisper than when it's a burning shout. But I'm not suicidal, or at least not more than I normally am. I have been feeling a bit like life is pointless and monotonous, and God! Why do I bother when it's another day of misery and disappointment, and saying tomorrow might be better just makes me laugh. But I'm not killing myself right now, just thinking aloud. God I hate myself though. I'll tell you what an awful person I am, walking the dog today and someone pushing a pram and carrying a baby dropped a bottle of milk. And I picked it up for her. Yeah, aren't I just like ****ing Ghandi. I'm probably not a bad person but that's how I see myself, and I don't know why anyone would want to know a **** like me. Letting anyone close to me is like inviting them to get to know what a **** I am. And then the rejection. "You don't like me because you've discovered that I'm a ****? Sorry. I should have mentioned that earlier. I just assumed that you had a weird thing for human garbage. But you're right, I'm a ****. Sorry, and I wish you the best of luck with proper humans." People don't seem to hate me, mostly. Some of them might even like me, and want to get to know me better because, while I think I'm a ****, I don't act like a ****. Or try not to. How to get over the feeling that I don't deserve love or friendship, and anyone who thinks that I do is mistaken and will only be disappointed if they really knew me. I'm scared by people who like me, which is why I'm going to die alone. Wow! I've whinged on quite a bit. I'd probably skip over a post this long so I imagine other people will as well. No-one's going to read this far so I might as well admit that I sometimes dress up as a school girl and dance along to Britney Spears' classic song about domestic violence - "Hit me baby one more time". I don't really. It's so difficult to get a school girls outfit in my size. Damn my manly figure! I could never be a transvestite with these legs. I'd be about as convincing as Grayson Perry. I like that guy.
