Everyone is different but you seem to be quite negative about being ignored but you will be ignored if you delete your posts.

I don't believe anyone is deliberately ignored per se on the forum. Some members do find it difficult to post and interact. There are also approximately 20 members or so online at any one time and this is usually the majority, which is a very small number.

Newbs makes a valid point though. You need to give people time to respond, several days at a minimum.

This is actually a very interesting question. Since I haven't been around as long as many, I do not know why many left. It sounds like you have some thoughts on how to make people feel better about using the forum.

^ I think that is why this forum is helpful, I don't claim to be an expert either (and neither do most from what I've seen But most people have opinions, can brainstorm etc. I am not suggesting that is easy, or even doable necessarily.

From reading in threads, I have found that people who delete their posts due to anxiety are not always ignored. Although obviously leaving the post up gives potential responders more to work with. Just my observations. I don't judge someone who deletes their post, this is an anxiety forum.

Mountainstream mentioned something earlier about feeling ignored and deleting posts, hopefully he or she can see your reply, it might help them.

I think probably some days people are more sensitive than others (I probably am).. for example if I posted in the suicide thread and nobody replied for a day (that hasn't happened btw) I would not feel helped if the forum was active. So its a very complex issue.... as of course all communication is. Also personally I feel guilt about posting about such issues so would delete for that reason (not that there is reason to feel guilt for those feelings. again jmo..) Thank you for this conversation, maybe it might be of help or interest to some of the newer members
