I've had acupuncture for emotional difficulties - e.g. not sleeping well, over-worrying, depression... I think it does have a subtle effect, but can take a few days to 'work'...
and I think it helps if you have a good acupuncturist - I feel good as soon as I see my therapist, before he's even started working his 'magic'
