Volunteer placement tomorrow. Hoping I cope ok etc..
When I got home today there was a message from the vol. coordinator on my answering machine from last wed (hadn't been home since then) asking how I got on.
I think it's going to be one of these places that consistently monitors and evaluates.

Don't know whether I should do the lakes again or snowdonia.

I wish I had the cash to just bugger off and not worry about where I end up.

I would'nt plan anything at all then.

Wish I could afford some more light weight gear too.

I'd love a PHD down jacket, down quilt, Climashield Apex quilt etc etc etc lol

I'm sorry that some of your extended family are being so judgemental especially at a time when they should be offering you nothing but help and support.

You sound like you are coping really well with what must be an incredibly difficult situation - if you were my son/brother/nephew I would be very proud of you

How old is your sister? My son is 13 and I can talk to him about pretty much anything. I think it's important that children grow up in an environment where mental illness is talked about openly and honestly so that it is not regarded as something to be ashamed or fearful about. I imagine if you talk to your sister about your mum's illness it will help her to understand everything much better.
