The way that everything now seems to be salted caramel flavour. Sometimes you just want caramel, or plain chocolate!

I ordered pizzas at about 6:35pm and they still haven't arrived.
Eating after 5:30pm brings nothing but trouble to those around me. |

Re: Small things that annoy you (3)
^^ & ^^^ It eventually got here around 8:45pm!
The delivery man said they're incredibly busy. I think a lot of small businesses have started using online ordering, so end up with a higher number of orders than they can physically process. The fish and chip shop has online ordering, in person ordering and Food Hib. That's a lot of orders to make. If you order in person, you're always the one waiting because Food Hub orders have to be ready by a specific time. I feel bad for the people that work there. It must be incredibly stressful. I was in Costa the other day and was waiting 20 minutes to get served. The guy on the till told me they have a £100+ order for one of the online ordering places and they have to get it ready for a specific time. I walked out in the end because Costa isn't worth waiting for really and it annoyed me that they prioritise online orders. Internally annoyed me, it's not the guy who works there's fault. I'll know to put the order in at 3pm next time so it arrives at dinner time hehe |

Re: Small things that annoy you (3)
We ordered a KFC last week and it took 4 hours to arrive. We refused the food because we'd ordered from somewhere else in the end.

Re: Small things that annoy you (3)
Four hours! More and more food outlets are using a range of ordering and delivery services and they can't really cope with the demand, as well as having to make food for the walk in customers and drive through customers. Bet the people working in there feel like they need to be an octopus.

Drinks that smell of pineapple. In particular Lilt. There's something really unpleasant about that smell and taste. Maybe it was something that happened when I was young, drank loads of Lilt then ending up being horribly sick? I don't know.

^ This is a true story, and I've heard this throughout my adult life, but pineapple is known to change the taste of semen. Perhaps there was a time in your childhood where you over-consumed on semen at some point?

Re: Small things that annoy you (3)
Big respect to anyone here who chases it up or turns down food when it's hours late. There have been times when I've given up hope of my takeaway getting here, and just accepted the loss of dosh and dinner (though it's always arrived eventually, if cold and a bit manky) I reckon they could fart on it right there in front of me on my doorstep and I'd still be all 'Ah, thanks mate, brilliant, cheers'.

The mountains of absolute tat shops sell. I'm not clever enough to come up with a denouncement of capitalism, but you look at it all and think, this can't be right, this can't be the best we can do as a civilisation. Millions and millions of years for the natural resources to form so some factory can produce a big sign that says It's Prosecco Time.

A couple weekends ago I popped into my local B&M store and I just could not believe the amount of unnecessary junk on the shelves. Surely producing and then transporting this crap around the globe is more damaging to the environment than its worth. |

We ordered through Just Eat. I think there must have been some sort of error and they forgot about us, and then remembered considerably later. We did try to call the KFC but no one answered and Just Eat was permanently engaged.

I work out a few days a week as I can't face working at home full time.
I can't remember exactly what the rules are so I'm still going in. I think Boris would understand. It's pretty busy here so I'm not the only one. |

I'll only use them for delivering plushies and clothes maybe. At least if THAT were damaged then I'd be impressed. |
