Any time i've done that i've ended up feeling like a bloody put-upon waiter. Let me just write down what you want first. So, sorry, i forgot napkins, just a tick. You wanted sauce too, oh ffs, be back again in a moment. I don't give a toss that there's pickles on it, you've had your lot, i quit!

Nice of you to do that, and you volunteered in your own way.

It took a lot of re-recordings till I became more able, I feel some anxiety over the vid though. I want to do more vids as well, the vid wasn't in depth but did cause some anxiety.

Kudos, Retep! I just left a comment on it. (aside: I always laugh at my own Google+ avatar when I see it)

Went to an anxiety group this morning. I was petrified during the session. Was Heading for another mute session until someone put me on the spot. 'Panic!' I was fine once I started talking :/. No mental blocks either. I feel so much better for opening me gob and chewing out some letters to make some words. Ive been really depressed and angry at my complete failures of late, especially in groups. That and other things have been an alarming wake up call. Like a mirror held in front of my face showing just how messed up I am. Upsetting is an understatement.

Hopefully this morning is a step forward and not a one off.

Last week I invited someone to do something with me (spend Christmas at my parents house) and today asked her out for coffee. This is the first time I have Ever asked someone to do anything with me.

The success is actually that my mood has not really gone down much, and I'm still pretty positive even though she has said no to both invitations. Maybe, just maybe I'll have the courage to do this again (only took 37 years!).

Wow this is a great thread, well done everyone!
Today I went to Tesco- on my own and at the weekend, which is a pretty big deal for me. I tend to avoid leaving the house other than to go to work and doctors appointments, so I feel like the effort was worth it.

I went outside of my home town on my own for the first time today, and finished my Christmas shopping.

Just agreed to meet up with my friend tomorrow.
I feel kind of silly making a fuss over something which some people wouldn't bat an eyelid at. But I am glad he suggested it. I feel bad sometimes because he is probably the closest friend I have; but when I'm at home I tend not to isolate myself and don't stay in touch with anyone.
Anyway, wish me luck

I said "Thank you, have a good new year!" to my barber. Usually, I would just say "thank you" silently.

^ I too would have probably just said thank you quietly. Were there many people in there at the same time?

Yeah, its the same for many of us on here, I was the same a few weeks ago when people I barely knew actually wanted to talk to me at my temporary workplace, this sort of thing is just another day for many people you're right, whereas its such a big deal for people like us who struggle to make friends and it was nice cause it reminded me that perhaps I'm not as unlikeable as I previously thought. Hope it went well

Well done...I remember when I couldn't say 'hello' when I got to work! So I can really relate to what a challenge something like this can feel! keep up the good work!

Can I just say that the people who wouldn't bat an eye lid DONT have SA...they would probably experience any anxiety they felt as excitement or anticipation because they are the same thing really, it's just a question of degree!
