Default Hi Guys!

Hi Guys, have been studying the site for a few months now having been diagnosed with SA 6 months ago. I was diagnosed by my GP with depression when I was 17 and didn't feel that it was just that and have felt different for as long as I can remember, then when I was diagnosed with SA it all fitted into place when my therapist explained it too me properley. I have always had trouble relating my thoughts to friends and relatives about the way I feel and it is so helpful to know that I am not the only one out there and there are others to talk too.

I had difficulty in school with feeling constantly anxious and worried what may happen to me and I don't know quite what I was scared of, this affected making friends and has since affected my working life quite dramatically. I have had periods where I have been very happy in my working life, but 6 months ago bought a business in which I would be dealing with customers and stress on a daily basis, but then has a breakdown and closed the business within weeks of it being open. When I have go myself into a situation workwise I often find a way to get out and eventually pack it in!! I am looking for a new direction in life at the moment and am recovering fantastically from the worst time in my life, but can't seem to shake the fear of work and faliure off my back and this is affecting what I want to do. I am paralysed by fear when I think about returning too work and am working on this with my therapist but just wondered if any of you guys had experience the same difficulties. As I say I am recovering so well but really want to get back into some work but am afraid of how I will react and what the consequences will be for my recovery.

Any advice or inspiration you can give me would be great. Thanks guys

Dave
