Got a leak in my house roof every time it rains. Been leaking two years but getting worse all the time. Landlord has sent 'workmen' round five times and each time it's been ''fixed.'' But who the hell repairs a leaking roof from the inside by sticking patches of felt on which instantly fall off. Bloody cowboys. I've had to resort to buying a plastic container and putting it up there to catch the water before the bedroom ceiling falls in

^ they need to strip back the tiles a replace the felt from above. I've got same issue in our roof in a couple of places luckily it doesn't leak. One day I might get up on the roof and repair it.


You wouldn't think yours would leak lee as it's on a flat section of the roof maybe there's a broken tile on the outside or a missing tile. Or rains getting driven up under the tile by wind.

Are they concrete formed tiles?

Yes, concrete formed tiles. It's been inspected by 'roofers' who couldn't find anything broken or missing

If no broken tiles it doesn't seem likely that rain would get driven up through the felt. Staggered tiles would stop that. Unless you had force nine gale blowing it up under.

Ridge tiles seem more likely. It would leak through ridge then run down the felt and drip in.

Yep, I've been up there in heavy rain and it leaks straight through that area above the container. Doesn't look like it's running down from further up but I could be wrong.
