Default Froch vs Groves II

Who do you think will win?

Will anyone here watch it? Just checked on Sky Box Office, and its £16.95.

I have no idea what you're talking about. Competing hypotheses in quantum field theory? Best sideburns competition? Could be anything.

Groves as long as he fights smart this time. He got big headed last time and thought he was doing so well he could start slugging it out with Froch. Silly mistake. He has the skills and the speed so as long as he stays away he'll win.

^ interesting. I think if Froch properly prepares this time he will win. I thought he underestimated Groves in the first fight. But I agree Groves have what it takes to cause an upset.

See, to me Groves is a bit of a pretender. He walks the walk, but he doesn't talk the talk. If Froch can keep his focus this time, and keep quick on his feet, I reckon he could have a chance at it.

^ Ah shit, I thought I was pretty convincing.

£16.95's a lot of dosh though, kid. I'd not even spend that on play-doh.

Why is it called a boxing ring when it's square? That's what I want to know.

The laws of geometry don't apply in boxing. A man tried to fix the anomaly and Don King had him killed.

I'm listening to it on radio. Might try and grab a stream but my internet connection isn't great. I wonder if they'll be showing in pubs in town

As much as Groves has the physical tools to beat Froch, Carl has the durabilty & mental edge, I think he'll eventually catch up with Groves. I'd like the ginger assassin to win though.

Boxing square doesn't have quite the same ring to it though does it?

But hang on a second, is that £17 for just one boxing match? What if there's like a knockout after 10 seconds and that's it

During the conception of modern boxing, squares wasn't yet invented. Squares came about after world war 2, when a Jew, after the downfall of Hitler, accidentally created a bagel with for equal sides. There were much discussions about changing the boxing ring name to 'boxing square', but it caused uproar amongst the boxing community. Out of respect for tradition, the name 'boxing ring' stayed.

I'll be paying to watch this on tele, I think that this time the earlier rounds will be closer and Froch will come on very strong second half of the fight and maybe get a genuine stoppage.

I paid to watch the fight, so far the undercard fight's been alright. The James Degale fight is on now.
Anthony Joshua ko'd his opponent in just over 1min of the first round.

Groves impressed me last time but I'm leaning towards a Froch KO this time around. Don't see Froch being as complacent as he was last time out.
