Default Netflix recommendations

Series:
Sherlock- awesome
Daredevil- really good super hero one.
Luke Cage- great marvel one but adheres too much to the cartoon so not so good nearing the end.
Breaking bad, House of cards - the obvious
Luther- good unconventional detective
What we do in the shadows- Really good! Housemates where all they're all vampires.
Community- meant to be like an alternative Big Bang theory
Gotham- great series from C5
The Bridge -starring a female aspergers detective
Continuum- awesome sci-fi
Travelers- another awesome sci fi, for people who maybe liked quantum leap or sliders, but anyone might like.

Films:
Into the Wild- apparently quite an inspiring film
12 Angry Men- Old one, 1950s? surprisingly good watch
Ridiculous 6 - meant to be the most watched film on Netflix
X+y- good film about a very clever maths student
Equilibrium- good film
Limitless- good film
City of God- good film
Battle Royale- bloody film
IP Man 2- I think I watched this, good martial arts one if it was the one I watched.
36th Chamber- great martial arts one
Return to 36th Chamber- not so good as first, but entertaining to watch.

Bored me
Z Nation
Survivors
Shadowhunters- high quality superhero one but aimed at teens
Making a murderer- popular one but seems more documentary?
Jessica Jones- seems more aimed at women.

Any recommendations of your own?

Edit: 25/01/17 Updated added a couple

Definitely loved all of these. I watched 'What We Do In The Shadows' at the recommendation of someone and was glad I did.

It's a documentary, but 'Ken Burns: Prohibition' is something I found both interesting and enjoyable.

I've enjoyed the first season of Scorpion. Heard that the second is not as good, but am yet to watch it.

To summarise, It's about a team of 4 genius' and 1 normal non-genius(to translate the real world to the genius') who do contract work for homeland security/the US government.

Both really good , tho haven't seen the latter in years.

My attention span at the min is so bad I can't get into a series much (Well American ones mostly, I struggle with the sameness of them) but I must give this 'community' a go I think.

'Best of Enemies' I really liked tho possibly not everyone's cup of tea, I rather boringly like documentaries though.

Annie Hall and Manhattan are on my to watch list. Lol probably the only two Woody Allen films I haven't seen, yet his most famous.
So was pleased to see them added. I wish they had more good classic/older films.

I really liked Jessica Jones. It might be more aimed at women, and I am one, but the male I watched the series with seemed to like it quite a lot too. So, worth a watch.

I also liked Breaking Bad (of course)
Narcos
Better Call Saul (although the second series is slow)
Homeland (Wasn't sure if it'd be my sort of thing, but it's really good)

City of God is brilliant and I enjoyed Into the Wild too.

Django Unchained
Defiance
Harry Brown
World War Z

All definitely well worth the watch!

Definitely watch 'Jessica Jones' if you like 'Daredevil', there is quite a bit of crossover!

Community - when you say 'alternative' do you mean 'actually funny'? The only similarity I can see is that there's one character who clearly has asbergers, except community actually have the guts to say the word and sort of deal with it.

Ridiculous 6 - The reason it's the most watched film on Netflix is that for a month or so it was the 'up next' thing no matter what you watched and automatically started playing for everyone at some point, and that's all it takes to register a watch.

Jessica Jones - I liked it, David Tenent was creepy as ****, don't really get how it was 'more aimed at women' other than the fact that it had a woman in it.

^ It's alright. It had the same problem as Daredevil, taking 13 episodes to tell a 6-episode story.

I enjoyed Sense8. There were big problems with pacing (seems to be a common flaw with these internet-only shows) and sometimes it was laughably stupid, but it had some fresh ideas and it was incredible to look at.

^It's a morally confusing show. I think he probably did it (especially knowing everything they didn't include in the show) but there's no way you could call that a fair trial, and everything about the nephew's trial stank.

Yeah. I really enjoyed it, although it seemed to lose its way a bit in the second half.
