I watch more than I play. Always have. Been watching some Games Done Quick recently and Summoning Salt's videos on the progressions of some Nintendo speedruns.

It's mega amounts of money and there's some really talented people there. They probably practise all of the time on Twitch, but to do it in front of a live crowd is another thing.

You won't find a Zelda video on that channel, but he'll probably get to one. People are even running the new Zelda game already, but I stopped caring about them after Ocarina.

I've never gotten into speedrunning in general, but I used to be hooked on watching people speedrun GTA 3 and Vice City. Probably because I knew those games so well, and it wasn't about shaving milliseconds off their time, rather an endurance thing over a couple of hours.

I find those games in particular difficult to watch because they're always so long though I remember there was a mind-blowing skip at the time involving cheats in GTA 3 where you could use the tank to jump over the bridge. You could continuously fire it backwards and you would take off and eventually reach the other island.
