Default Your Bedroom Posters - Who Did You Have?

My first posters to go up on my bedroom wall were Sheffield Wednesday FC and Starsky and Hutch. As i headed towards my teens Starsky and Hutch were replaced by Blondie, Toyah and Kim Wilde. These days being a sad and lonely old singleton my beroom posters have made a comeback though no people now just aircraft Spitfire, Hurricane, Lancaster and whats that other one that i like a bit, er now let me think oh yes MOSQUITO

I don't know which poster came first, Shakin' Stevens or Mighty Mouse but those are my first memories of posters.

I had a load of video game posters and movie posters later on, far too many to list here.

I remember my Double Impact poster was one of my faves though.

I loved going to the local video rental store and asking for posters, and also getting cardboard cutouts.

I remember getting a Predator 2 cutout and lugging it back home.

I had Kylie and Madonna calendars that I cracked a few off too as well, before I started on Paul Raymond's Publication's, which unfortunately I couldn't post on the wall.

One of my sons used to get a car magazine with a double sided poster, one side a naked woman and the other a sports car. I realised he was growing up when I noticed he'd turned them all round to show the naked women

I'm just happy that I never ended up cracking one off to Shaky and Mighty other wise I'd be a whole lot more weird than I already am.

I felt bizarrely ashamed of being heterosexual as a teenager so there were no women on my bedroom wall. I did have something similar to this over my bed though which must have made people think "yep, he's gay alright, no doubt about it".

I had mostly band posters and other boring crap. I remember, way back, starting a cool little montage of Oasis cut-outs, but, because they were the only band i liked at the time, it didn't really get far.

I was way to secreative about girls and didn't dare put any posters of them on the walls. My parents woulda teased me about it anyway and i'da gone red with embarrassment

I remember one mate - we were about 16 at the time - had put up a large porn poster on his bedroom wall and i couldn't believe he had the balls to do that. He was schizo though, so, he did quite a few offbeat things like that.

Memories, eh..

In the mid 80s when i was a teen I developed a non-sexual crush on Prince so I had a few pictures of him up, along with some of Madonna cut out from Smash Hits.

I wasn't allowed posters at home because my Dad had a thing about blu-tac staining the walls. As soon as I got to uni I got many posters of Angel from Buffy and this

I never really had a lot of posters I can remember, but I think this was on my wall at one point when I was a kid:

p.s. nowt wrong with having classic aircraft posters as an older person arguably you could include " having my bedroom wall exactly as I like" as an item on the thread for good points of being single.
In that case i have my flat exactly as i like with display Cabinet's full of diecast WW11 aircraft and classic cars

I can't remember most of them, but I was rather attached to the ones of Clare Danes and Angelina Jolie.

Sounds like my sister's bedroom I can't really remember all the posters I had. Think I had a Liverpool one from the mullets and moustaches era, and I also seem to recall some kind of space poster giving details about the various planets. There may well have been a wrestling poster too

If only I had a brother we could have had an embarrassing anonymous reunion now "oh so.....you have SA too....?...."

I think I`m remembering a Gordon the Gopher image looking down at me too...things are making much more sense now.

I never had posters of people in my bedroom for two reasons, I didn't want some dude dominating my wallspace, nor did I want some famous hot female dominating it either because it would just sexually frustrate me.

earliest one was an R2D2 and C3PO poster in my room, - it looked pretty cool.
( even though I hadn't been able to see any Star Wars film at that point )

think I may have had a few drawings of Jimi Hendrix up on the wall at one point too,.
and later on a George Gurdjieff painting I did once.

think I preferred having my own artwork up on the wall rather than store-bought posters tbh
