Default Songs that make you cry (or would if you weren't so 'ard/on SSRIs)

A blatant rip off of another thread. Still...

Not sure if this counts, as it's more a post-cry emotional desolation type song for me.

This is going to sound lame as fk, but I sometimes listen to this (below) and imagine it's the strong and well me singing this to the depressed and mentally unwell me:

I'd have chosen Hurt by Johnny Cash also.

You can count the amount of times i've blubbed whilst listening to music on one hand... cos i'm pretty 'ard. Music (or the music i listen to anyway) rarely brings me into an emotional state where i'm breaking out into tears, for a number of reasons. I don't think music, or a popular piece of music - something that lasts 3-5 minutes - is long enough to get me going and i'm certainly not the sort of person that uses it (or any other media) to indulge in an emotional state, where i'd deliberately listen/watch 'sad' things to elicit a response. My tears don't come cheap, nosiree. Another thing is the lyrics often bypass me - i'll understand the emotion of the music but not necessarily the thing that's being said, my focus won't hold onto lyrical content much longer than the next phase in the song. It's not a good thing. On top of that i'm not emotional anyway, so...

That said, i did actually get teary listening to Beach House (Teen Dream) at the weekend, but (big but) i was looking at pictures of my recently departed pet dog at the same time. Did i say i wasn't the sort of person who didn't indulge.. ? Whoops

Ordinarily, I'm not much of a crying person. I actively avoid anything that would make me cry e.g. sad films. When I do cry then I'm Niagara Falls-ing it.

The one and only song that makes me cry no matter what is a Lewis Capaldi song. It was played at my cousin's funeral. Im not quite sure what it's called and don't want to look it up because I don't want to cry. It goes "I wish that I was good enough...if only I could wake you up..." Whenever I hear it then I burst into tears because it encapsulates everything from that day.

This song from the film Dumbo now reduces me to tears if I hear it because it was played at the funeral of my partner's stillborn nephew.

Literally nothing.
I don't listen to songs, I don't particularly like the sound of people singing.
I don't think any of them have any real emotional connection for me.

I love I See a Darkness.

I don't cry to music even though I'm a total wuss.

How could I have forgotten "The drugs don't work" by The Verve! That one's heart wrenching.
