Decent email provider?

There’s lots of tech savvy people on here, so thought it would be a good place to ask!

My email address I’ve had for years is just plagued with spam, so I’m wondering if anyone could recommend a decent email provider? I feel like I need to just start afresh!

This is very techy but I have an email account with soverin.net - I pay for it but also maintain my own domain so that even if they go under I can set up another mail account with the same email address. (worst case is I lose any messages I haven't backed up from their servers)

Other than that I still have a gmail account which seems to keep spam out (I do get a lot of messages from companies I can't be bothered to unsubscribe from but generally when I do it works, I get practically no unsolicited spam)

I find that having a few email accounts helps to make it easier to manage spam.For example, one for social media, another fort online shopping.
