Don't forget antumbra also

I seem to have no friends at the age of 30 soon to be 31 and I only have myself to blame because I am the way I am, I wish I could change.

I thought antumbra sounded a bit too much like an elderly female relative.

Oh you're still a young pup, I thought you were way older than that. Friends are hard work, or we are hard work, I know I am.

Even this place is making me feel old. I went away for a while and came back only to find all the 'regulars' are gone. I keep stumbling on old posts from 2013 for example and thinking, OMG, I remember him, and whilst they weren't really 'friends' it still feels like I've lost some.

Sometimes feels like this is SAUK II and I'm a bug leftover from the old SAUK I.

Where did they all go?

I'm sure someone hit fast forward once I hit my 30's I haven't managed to do a single thing outside of work in years.

I'm now officially closer to 32 than 31 (by 1 day) and I'm yet again terrified

(I'm aware I may be one of the younger posters in here but I can't say it helps me stop feeling like shit about it )

Well I live in a town so I've got the usual options

but I don't really do stuff om my own so I go out to work, come home and hibernate in front of my PC and thats basically my life

Cinemas are good, no pressure to talk...seem to be bloody expensive these days though!

I'm thinking how weird it is that the last time I posted in this forum I was 26. Feels longer and almost like it was someone else posting.

I can totally relate to that. I've been sitting here all day thinking I literally have no reason to exist.
Half way through life with nothing good to show for it.

Thanks Just generally really, I have no purpose or worth and I can’t seem to get anything right. I’m so avoidant and scared of life, I never expected to still be such a waste of space at this age

You must jump when people say how high, Kooky. Doesn't matter that you have 5 cats running 'round, a mother with cancer, a shitload of university work to commit to doing and a physical illness yourself, you must act immediately or people will get all huffity puffity and punish you for it!

Sorry, just having a vent. Ignore me.

^ Thanks, newbs! I'm just getting frustrated with people taking the hump with me for not replying to them immediately.

The main one being the manager at the college I was volunteering at. I contacted her recently after a year-long break to deal with my mum's cancer and whatnot, to see if I'd be welcome to volunteer again. She seemed happy to hear from me and we exchanged several messages. However, I took a little while (a week, I think) to reply to her last email, which of course I apologised for and have heard nothing since (it's been a month). I've written again and received no response to that message either. So now I'm without a voluntary placement and probably a reference too which will really hinder my chances of volunteering elsewhere. I'm not a happy Kooky to say the least and I'm stuck for what to do now.

I haven't used Deep Heat since I was a kid and used it on my groin (don't use it on your groin), but I think I'm at an age now where I can treat myself to a tube.

I cannot think of one thing at a time, my mind is always a whirlwind of thoughts such as at this moment:

I would never confide or rely on a friend so maybe aquaitences are enough for me?

If had a gf would I ever be able to finish skyrim , 500 hours and still only 1/3 completed.

Do I like people. Yes in small doses.

Should I join a dating site I have no funny rejection stories.

How do people have time for friends/socialising and watch everything on netflix.

how much alcohol do I need for 4 days in the desert a christmas?

I’m not a very deep person!

Why has that friend not messaged me to see if I was ok ... I guess when he next has trouble with his gf he will message ... Just feel like he doesn’t care or something... The longer the time he doesn’t message , the angrier I seem to be ... It doesn’t help not in a good place anyways.. He knows that .... ..... So much for being besties....
