Hello
Hi everyone,
I'm 29...I am looking forward to share views and experiences with you people. All started at school when I was 13, I was asked to read a comprehension aloud by the teacher. I felt my heart racing and could not breathe well. At that time, I could not understand this feeling. And my school and university life went this way. I also experienced a lot of embarrassment and failures in my professional life. I had so many opportunities for promotion but due to SA, I was stuck at the same level and my life was full of stress. Lately, I changed profession but I am still trying every way I can to overcome this feeling. I just wish no one suffers from SA... |

Re: Hello
Welcome to the forum.
I can relate to what you're saying. I have never been able to give presentations (on the occasions I have tried it has been traumatic) or apply for management positions. My wife understands but has sometimes gotten frustrated with it, as we could do with more money. SA is really tough to deal with. Most of my non-SA friends can't really understand how it is. I have tried on a few occasions to talk to them about it and it just comes out wrong and the conversation gets awkward, so I tend to just avoid talking to anyone about it now. I only recently joined this site myself- it is quite comforting in some ways to read some of the posts and know that other people are going through/have gone through the same experiences...... |
