No money! Woo!
I was walking home and thought I'd do one of the anxiety exercises I read about. This one was to go into a sandwich place, order a sandwich and then when you should pay say that you forgot your wallet, give the sandwich back and leave.
So I went into Subway and ordered a 6". I skimped on many things since I didn't want to waste anymore of their time than I was already doing. Got to the cashier and I rummage through my bag and pockets and say I'm so sorry but I've forgotten my wallet. She just looks at me, and I remain silent waiting for her response. She said is there anyway I could get it and come back but I say, I'm sorry but I must have left it at work which is far away and I can't go back. She just then looks at me and I look at her, remain silent and wait. She gets the manager who comes back and I briefly explain the situation and he's like: "Don't worry about it." I apologise again and am about to leave and the manager says, "Oh... you can have the sub anyway" and gives me the sub for free! I felt a little more guilty as I had no intention of eating and they gave it to me when I had money on me... but I was surprised! I thought they would have judged me badly but instead they gave it for free Was pretty tasty too |

Re: No money! Woo!
Wicked! That happened to me recently as well I tend to get food for free a lot, but I always go back and pay people back.

Re: No money! Woo!
Well done! I did that recently. But not on porpoise. Got all my goods on the counter and bagged up and realised I'd left my purse at home. Was quite embarrassing. It's not the first time that's happened either.
