Yes big congrats Bambos, that's great news.

Perhaps not just an achievement today but over the last week or so. A girl at work asked to sit down with me at lunch the other day. I was a bit taken aback but happy to talk and I then had the nerve to ask to sit with her the day after. Then she came and sat with me the day after that, then I sat with her today, so I must be doing something right. She did say 'how come we keep ending up going to lunch at the same time' and so my brain went into overdrive thinking I must seem like a creep or something. Stupid bloody brain, sometimes I wish it would piss off. But anyway it's a bit of progress (I hope).

Basically yes, I'm a baker in a supermarket so I have to be quite flexible as to when I go depending if I've got stuff in the oven. She works in the cafe.

Managed to drag myself to the library to check out books for my next essay. I hate the library. It's busy and loud. So, I am proud of myself

^ Well done Bry, it's funny how libraries are indeed rather busy and loud these days!

I went to a gig in London last night I was quite doped up on diazepam and a few drinks but overall I had a really good time. The band were amazing. It's given me a new lease of confidence in myself, I'm capable of doing more, and to think of where I was like three years ago, it's pretty incredible (not to big myself up too much ha).

Thank you Biscuits and Mo

It was Pond, they were brilliant and the support act was Jade Imagine who were also really good.

Nice one indeed, Dimples!

I too went to a gig in London last night. I did a wee bit of pre-drinking, but thought I better stop in case I felt sick due to scoffing yum yums The show took forever to get started though (doors at 7, main act came on around 9) so I was disappointingly sober throughout. Too frit to go to the bar.

Not my video, but this was the energy in the audience for a few of the songs. I really wanted to bellow out the lyrics too, but I was up in the stalls and I couldn't tell if anyone could hear me, so I just sort of softly spoke the words

That's true, it wouldn't have been a good idea to get drunk. There was a lady a few rows in front who looked super tipsy, getting up out of her seat and wobbling about over the balcony, she got chucked out or moved or put in the bin eventually. Would've been nice to have had something though, to make me a bit more loosey brucie.

Congrats

Just see how you feel on the day. Even if you don't go into this interview there will be others, so just take it as far as you can. It's all good practice.

I went out to the pub last night with a couple of friends for the second Wednesday running. It was a lot busier this time which I normally struggle with, largely because of the extra noise but I managed to cope pretty well.

Sorry this is a bit late. I'm so proud of myself I did the interview, I survived! I think I did well. But don't think it's a good fit for me. some things I didn't like (one of them was how I was spoken to)

Sorry that it didn't feel like the right place for you though. Ah well, it's all good practise and will help you to feel a teeny bit more comfortable about the next interview. It's always best to wait for something that feels right and like the kind of place you'd want to work. Better to have found that out in the interview then a week into a brand new job. I'm sure a job opportunity that's somewhere more welcoming will crop up soon
Thankyou your right thank god i didnt accept it then be stuck somewhere I wasnt happy.

well done everyone

I'm in Vienna at the moment and went to some strudel-making demonstration today. I was sat at a table at the front and got chosen to answer a question, and when I answered correctly I got called up to help in front of everyone There were probably around 40-50 people watching and it was utterly mortifying at first, I had to put on an apron and paper hat and butter a strudel while the chef was joking around, and the audience were laughing and taking photos. It started to feel okay after a while though, I was trying to be conscious that nobody knew me and wouldn't ever see me again or think about me again as soon as it was over, and from doing that I think I was even kind of enjoying it by the end. I think they normally ask a child to do that but there weren't any in the room, since they gave me a certificate afterwards and let me keep the hat.
