Friday Night

A college of mine at work asked me today...

"Are you going out with mates tonight for drink?"

Me: "Ummm maybe, not sure, probably n...Yes of course!"

But the truth is no. I'm not comfortable where large groups of people are...obviously i didn't say that but it was in my head. God i hate Friday and weekends nights...there's just an invisible, intense pressure of conformity that fills the atmosphere so you have to be like everyone else

How are you spending your Friday night?

probably coffee and working on my website (playing diablo) ..or perhaps ill watch a film..

i wouldnt go out if i got asked for drinks anyway i dont think..not many people i "want" to go out with ...although if i got asked to a mates house to play video games..id have to stop myself looking too excited..but no thats not happening...

I did go out with a friend for a few drinks. But now I'm home and I really don't have anything to do. I expect most people would be out all night. I know how you feel.

Got home from work at nearly 11, then had something to eat & now sat on here... might watch telly or read a little... then bed. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Can't remember when I last went out on a Friday.

I used to get asked this alot by work colleagues and I did used to go and everytime was painful with people looking at me funny going "Are you alright, you don't look alright" (while i was trying to hide panic inside of me) so ive been refusing them for the last year and a half now. Haven't been to the last 2 christmas do's either.

The exposure therapy of just throwing yourself in the deep end so to speak hasn't worked for me, in these scenario's anyway.

I usually spend my friday nights playing games on PC.

How do you spend your friday night?

Visited some friends I'm fairly comfortable with. I was a bit nervous at first but it was funny later coz I'd stayed sober and they were all drunk spouting all sorts of bollox. Also, William Shatner was hosting Have I got News For You which was a bonus.

Shatner is 81 now and still sharp as a button.
