SAUK Chat - We need YOU!

We at SAUK chat would like to take this opportunity to invite you lovely people to our humble chatroom.

I understand that chat isn't for everyone and some may be a bit apprehensive at the thought of it but we're a friendly, supportive bunch and would love to see some new faces. People of SAUK - we need you!

While this is mainly a rallying call to bolster our ranks, I'd also really like to hear your thoughts on chat in general so any feedback would be welcome. Cheers!

p.s. Apologies to the mods for posting this here and not in the chat section but I'd really appreciate the increased exposure it'll get here.

***edited to say*** Chat is fairly quiet at the moment, hence the call for new members. However, it's generally at its busiest in the evenings around 6pm-11pm.

It would indeed be great to see some new people in the chat rooms - as quite frankly I'm sick to death of the current lot in there! ELEVEN YEARS they've been chatting at me...and I'm too polite to leave!!!

We're a nice bunch on the whole. We have a giggle - we talk a lot of nonsense - some develop friendships and we've even had a few relationships!

Why not pop in and see what it's all about? You don't have to join in straight away just stay until you get a feel for the place.

Please don't be shy (or do!) - come and give us a try!

I popped my head in the chatroom one time about a year ago and it was really quiet. Felt like I was intruding on someone's private conversation, so I scarpered, never to return. Maybe I'll try to give it another go (though I'd be grateful if a few other people vowed to do it too first, I'm a coward like that)

If like aloneuntilidie you feel bombarded with people saying hello when you first arrive it doesn't matter if you ignore us we'll quite understand. We're just excited to welcome new people.

Just hang around and read some of the drivel until you feel like you want to join in sometime. We were all new to it at some point so we get that you might not want to be involved from the off.

It was great to see a few new people having joined last night.

The chat is good to use when ur bored and lonely. Can often find a lot of encouragement here. Has been helpful to me in the past when I've felt at my lowest. and it's nice to not have to post a message and wait hours for a response like u do with the forum, u get instant responses in chatrooms. Evenings are when it's busiest but there's usually someone about anytime. If ur worried about chatting in a chatroom, try to push those feelings aside because none of us will bite

Would be great if people came on chat. Whether you're new to it or you used to come on before it's friendly, welcoming place. Lurk if want to get used to it.

There are regular quizzes in the evenings, at least one a week that everyone can participate in as well.

Me again! As my right honourable friend Macca has just pointed out - we'd love to see more of you guys come an' give chat a go.

Please don't be alarmed if you receive a barrage of greetings upon entering. I'd also like to say there is no obligation to respond if you'd rather sit and watch for a while to get your bearings.

Chat is a great place to vent, get advice or just take your mind off less serious stuff for an hour or two. Hope to see more of you guys in chat soon!
