Default Getting old?

I think I must be getting old . I'm thinking of ordering Christmas dinner(s) from Wiltshire farm foods(that Ronnie Corbett advertises) that get put in the microwave or oven.
My excuse it saves on the buying of a turkey etc joint and all the trimmings and the hassle of cooking it all.
I've not been tempted by the puréed sandwiches .

Oh no, you'll be wearing elasticated waist trousers next.

^ I do that already mainly because it accommodated my expanding girth better . I have lots of 34/38/40 " jeans none of which fit me. The only jeans that fit me are a 42" pair.

I know the feeling. I eat too much crap and am putting too much weight on.

Nothing wrong with elasticated waists , I just find they comfy , even when I was young I wore them
I can always put two meals in the oven. I agree that elasticated waists are comfy.

No, don't do this! I think microwaving a meal for one would just make me feel more sad and alone and desperate to take part. Much better to get yourself a few treats that need minimal/no preparation and binge watch some TV - or come to mine and I'll cook you a turkey.

I am going to buy some party food from Tesco to binge on and some crisps/cashews/pistachios etc and sweets. Also some booze. I just don't fancy preparing and cooking a roast meal.

yes I don't think I could be arsed doing a roast for just one. I might do a ham to pick at over a few days. I cooked a ham in coke last year and it was num. I do like roast potatoes and they're not much hassle and I could make a nice brunch like eggs benedict or somesuch.

you might want to google to get the proper method but mine is just streaky bacon on a muffin topped with a poached egg and hollandaise sauce. Probably not proper eggs benedict at all but fairly simple if you're not making the sauce from scratch.

^ Turkey's ok so long as it's not dry. I'd prefer nice honey glazed ham though.
