Not Bowie's greatest decade, perhaps, but he certainly looked his hottest in the 80's.

seems to be a bit of the "early 80s music thread" so far. I want to post some stock aitken and waterman material ( not Jason donovan tho ), worried about lowering the tone of the thread

The 80's were great for music. There was a lot that was played live on TV at the time. Channel 4's The Tube was worth running home for.

I thought the London Boys were great. The Twelve Commandments Of Dance was one of the first records I bought.

I was really shocked when I found out they both died.

Anyway, I think my personal favourite song from that album was probably Chinese Radio.

Absolutely! Love the communards vid btw! Ah, they don't make stuff like that anymore. Is that a good thing or bad? Wish id been old enough to go clubbing in the eighties!

Autumn Leaves, I was in the 2nd row of a back to the 80s concert Rick did up here in Glasgow 2 years ago - he said he couldn't do his wee hand move thing much these days because it gave him heartburn - guy next to me threw a packet of Rennies on the stage for him
Oh god, i can't believe i missed this!

Yeah, they were killed in a car accident in Austria back in 1996. I found out a year or two later when a radio DJ happened to mention it after playing one of their songs - it was a bit of a jaw-dropper!

Here's their Wikipedia entry: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/London_Boys
