Just been taking selfies of myself
I despise them because of my facial features I don't like, they make me feel suicidal (I was googling how to buy pentobarbital afterwards). I have a crooked smile which I believe is bent because of when I got beat up when I as 15. I'm going to stop taking picture of myself and only have pictures that people have done of me at events here I have no choice.

Re: Just been taking selfies of myself
For every Half decent selfie I've ever taken there's about twenty dry runs before that get deleted a bit quick or I'd feel the same as you op. Think most probably scrutinise themselves or various parts of themselves using this ' tool'. Sure you're perfectly fine looking mate and should try not to let it get to you, easily said but it's no less true.

Re: Just been taking selfies of myself
I'm not a fan of selfies. To be honest, all present company accepted of course, I feel the more selfies one takes, the larger the narcissist they are.
Unless I'm in a very smart shirt (usually a plain colour such as white/grey/black) or in a suit, I look way below average in pictures. I don't really like smiling either as if I smile properly, depending on the angle of the picture, you can see a weird gap I have between two teeth in one corner. I prefer to keep my mouth closed if I smile. Pictures of me in casual clothes, such as jumpers/t-shirts e.t.c. generally look horrific regardless of what angle they've been taken at. I've had a few pictures taken of me this year. I've only felt comfortable to share one of them - and even that I was 50/50 over... |
