Running. I was very fast as a kid, faster than all boys . I was suited to the 200m or 100m but kept being put in for long distances
Loved showjumping too, though I wouldn't say I excelled at it. |

Re: What sport do you think you were born to do?
One time in PE we got to do the high jump, over a pole and onto a big mattress. I was useless at every other physical activity, but they kept raising the pole and I was among the few who could still make it by the end. I felt so proud. Couldn't swim, could barely kick a football, got laughed at because I threw like a girl, but I jumped the shit out of that pole. They never let us do it again, but for that one lesson I was like a vertical Usain Bolt.

Re: What sport do you think you were born to do?
Short distance running. Up to 1,500 metres I never lost a race. I could do the 100 metres in 11 seconds at school. I remember the school bully asking me once if I'd consider letting someone else win a race.
To be honest, I was far too SA to take it up properly. I refused to represent the school. Even so, I was also discouraged by family because they said there was no money in athletics. Hmmm... I've no idea if I'd have progressed and improved with proper training or whether I was at my peak then, but I'll never know now. |

I think I was pretty good at squash. It's a really fun and energetic.
I thought it would be fun to watch a squash tournament on TV some years ago. I was wrong. |

Re: What sport do you think you were born to do?
I was really good at running when I was young,
always ran bare-foot Zola Bud style,. alas,. the dreaded nerves and anxiety kicked in and shut that down, my nerves were really really bad when I was a kid. I also seemed to really excel at rounders (a basic form of cricket) - usually hitting the ball over tall buildings etc. crowds used to gather to watch me play,.but it all ended horribly after I had some sort of emotional breakdown. I was also good at swimming but nerves made it a dreadful experience, so I stopped. I quite liked volleyball too, but have no idea if it could have came to anything. have no idea what I'd be able to do now,.. darts maybe? |

Re: What sport do you think you were born to do?
Interesting people saying running. I absolutely hated running but as I was skinny it was seen as my best sport. I came 3rd in cross country around the school. Last time I ran was for the bus a year ago.

Re: What sport do you think you were born to do?
^^ I'm a long-hauler too! I sometimes have to abandon plates if I'm eating with others so they don't end up waiting ages for me. It's quite upsetting.
I wasn't born to do any sport, but I think I was born to be a sport anti-commentator. 'Annnnnnd he's scored, which shouldn't be particularly surprising given that he's spent literally years training to do just that, and that is why you'll hear little if any excitement in my voice.' 'The crowd here today is showing a high level of emotional investment in the game, which, considering the arbitrary nature of its parameters and the lack of any real impact beyond its confines, might be considered displaced.' 'This talk of a player being on 'good form' as explanation for them playing well is a bit tautological, isn't it? And that's it for Match of the Day, today and forever.' |

Archery. I tried it once when I was at school and I was ok at it.
Also maybe Curling. I like the idea of using those broom things to get the kettle thing to go a bit further on the ice.... |

I should be in the Olympics for the sport of not living up to expectations.
I'd probably come fourth. |

Not so much a sport, but I've been trying a bit of Qigong recently. Wikipedia claims one of the advanced goals of it is:
