I will be 39 in less then a month, I have been told I look younger but I feel much much older.

Sometimes i can be so dense, I was reading al the posts and looking at the dates of them and thinking there was something wrong with the date thing on the forum, I was even going to post to see if anyone else noticed, then I clued in, this thread just started last yr is all. I think and do the most silliest things at times, I wonder if everything is connected properly in my head

Hi,

Just joined and it took me a while to locate this thread, but like others have said, it has made me feel better (sorry!) to see that there are others of my age. I turned 49 last month. It is sort of like that feeling we can have "Oh should I have grown out of this by now!" and realising that it is ok to still be like this.

I remember thinking and saying a few years ago, that blushing when you are a youngster is cute, but at our age it is just downright embarrassing! Yes i can, and do, still blush uncontrollably.

Anyway maybe finally there is hope for us oldsters. Especially thanks to websites like this.

Kind regards, HarryB

Great to have you on board HarryB - I'm two months older than you and I blush like a beetroot :embarass: :embarass: , and squirm and giggle like a schoolgirl when I'm embarrassed...

I am so terribly happy and tremendously overjoyed for you.
I'm 50 in April so I'll keep you posted.
(should that really be e-something'd?- 'posted' implies snail mail)

I'm thinking of decorating the party-wall of my house.........but that's in the distant future. But if you do call in make sure you bring a bottle or three.......

I'd buy you a babycham - but I have to decide on the wallpaper first........and your B/F wouldn't be pleased.

Didn't know I had a B/F - but hope you have a good one anyway! Half a century on this planet is something worth marking in some way - I won't say celebrate!

Welcome, Wabbit! Let me find you a chair near the fire.
Where have you been hiding? You do pick your moments!
Winnie and myself were thinking of a join '50th' Party for 'we pair',in Sheffield, in August.
I've announced it now.
All are invited.
Let me/winnie know if you are coming, please.
I'll have to post on the 'meetings' section.
Sometime.

Hiya Steve. Thanks for the fireside chair. Got a nice glass of wine to sip? I was a member for a few months about a year ago. A recent event inspired me to come back.

So are you two kids just now turning 50?

Those 5 years go to your head, me thinks
I'm 50 on Wednesday while winnifred is later in the year.
But The meet is a possibility in August.
(Should I say probability?)

Let's see what feedback we get from this announcement first Steve before announcing it in the meetings section
Your time is drawing ever nearer. Are you excited?

How in god's name can I get excited about something I've experienced 49 times before? I'm doing my best, though!
