Default Social anxiety/social phobia future research

Hello, I have social phobia and am also a researcher at the University of Manchester. I just wondered your ideas as socially-anxious people like me.

Do you think any areas to do with social phobia are lacking in scientific research and need more research on them? Or do you have any topic/subject to do with social phobia/anxiety that you'd particularly like to be researched in the future? Thank you, James.

I think more research needs to be carried out in schools, with young children/early teenagers years to help support them at an early age.

If there is any increase in social anxiety with the increase of all this glitzy media bullshit. If media is partially to blame in making a low self esteem

I do agree but this is not just for SA people.
my niece is 14 and definitely not SA, she is slim and good looking yet worries about a tiny amount of fat or the occasional spot.
but even celebs just look like normal people without their layers of makeup
