^They used to present Big Breakfast together didn't they? I'm guessing you were not a fan.
The police ride about London on their horses letting them poo everywhere, so seems legit. |

Re: Small things that annoy you (3)
Grrr. I've asked and asked the landlord to look at the electrics. Since having new light fittings fitted (cheap) I've gone through a million light bulbs. Just changed one which fused whilst still in my hand, knocked all the lights out on that circuit and left me with a light bulb severed from it's metal base broken in my hand. Scared the beejesus outta me

Re: Small things that annoy you (3)
People moan about courier services but my god they're sooo much worse when it comes to preparing their own parcel for pickup/collection. The number of times i've been scheduled to pickup for it to 'fail' because: they've put the wrong returns sticker on, they haven't even bothered to get it ready, no one home, parcel not where it's said to be, e.g. porch, doorstep, behind bin, etc. Label hasn't been printed off because they haven't got a printer....... !!! 'Oh, i took it back myself .. ' .. Why the **** did you arrange a courier to pick it up then?!??!
Mostly women ofc It makes me laugh how some of them open their packages - they must tear at them with tooth and claw because when they hand you them back they're an absolute state, sellotape wrapped around and around, still with holes, unsecured. I sometimes point out that most of the packages are self-sealing - if you cut along the dotted line, you'd see a flap with a strip of red tape that you peal off and use to seal for returns. Also, while i'm at it - for those that seal properly and use the right label - please cover the original (home address) label, cos it may come back into the system and be redelivered |

^ I don't do any of the other stuff but I have to admit I do open parcels by ripping them open and than have to sellotape it all back up (plastic bag parcels more than cardboard). My return parcels often look like there mummified

^ I know the mummified look!
Obviously there's a bit of tongue in cheek about that post - the majority of people i deliver to (where clothing is concerned) are women, therefore the majority of returns are requested by women. That said ..... The paranoia of semi-detached housing and adjoining bathrooms - i'm not spying on you, we just happen to be in our bathrooms at the same time ...and i'm just brushing my hair ... that's why you've probably heard me walk in (cos of the uneven flooring) and become deathly silent ..... i'm not listening to .. whatever it is you're doing.... !!! |

You know that horse poo I mentioned a week ago? Still there. Big pile of poo just sitting there, with everyone having to politely ignore it, day after day.

When I was Googling what people thought about that sort of thing, people were genuinely suggesting grabbing a spade and taking it to your garden. Imagine being so desperate for 20p's worth of fertiliser that you'll shovel crap off the pavement, no doubt with a big smile on your face for having got one over on The Man.

Re: Small things that annoy you (3)
It annoys me when people - especially medical professionals - say "And you are?" I know that they've probably been told to say that but I think it sounds rude, especially if it's said in an overly authoritative manner.
The alternative, "Your name please?" sounds so much better. |

BBC royal wedding coverage - the length that they go on about it - 15mins should suffice for this one inparticular.

Spending an hour or so prepping and cooking French onion soup and bearing the early lachrymal assault it entails only for it to turn out tasting as if I used a sock as stock and barely bothered with the onion.
I followed the recipe to the letter. 4.2 stars my arse, BBC Good Food. |
