^ Me too!! I totally agree with Dimplesxo. I think you did brilliantly Jinny. In the same situation I would have pretended I had to go somewhere that involved walking back the way I'd just come!!!! The embarrassment caused by having to do that is easier to bear than the embarrassment of making small talk with a total stranger!!!

^ Me three!! Jinny did brilliantly! I would have probably done what you would do Nervous Wreck and pretended I was going a different way.

@ Jinny - I can well imagine how excruciating that walk was for you. There***8217;s nothing worse than having to make small talk with a stranger or someone you hardly know. It can turn a relatively short walk into something that feels like a marathon!
But, you survived Jinny! And you chose to confront the fear rather than take avoidant measures which I think is a big acheivement!

I've felt strange all day. I went out to do some shopping earlier, and afterwards I felt like something was 'off'. I wondered if I'd forgotten to pay or something, that sort of feeling. I feel like I want to apologise or be penitent for something, but I don't even know what for. Trying to resist SH-ing tonight, not because I don't want to, but because I have to be up early tomorrow and I don't want to draw the night out.

try elastic band around arm, or a black marker pen, or some ice. It might just be fatigue, or low mood because of the weather

Maybe one for the confessions thread, but I own a sort of spanking cane for that purpose To be able to do it without really doing it, you know? Or at least not doing anything permanent to myself. It's the nearest I've found to emulating SH without feeling like I was copping out, because it's probably actually more painful than the real thing.

I feel horrendous. Just realised how obese I've become lately. Got to start getting some exercise again and working it all off.

Surprisingly calm. Went up to outdoor group, we usually meet in a car park and then go in the one car to wherever. Because the person doing it had a smaller car I offered to drive myself and follow her and she said oh someone else can go with you as well. I was like Eeekk! Anyways I managed to drive someone I don't really know, to somewhere I don't know and chat to them. Sounds simple I suppose but quite a feat for me.
Was quite a nice morning, went for a walk in Petworth Park, saw and heard the deer in the distance then went to a really cute little pub for coffee. I didn't chat much but it was still nice.

Also had a rubbish day at work. Really draining & felt completely useless & ineffective and pointless all day. Also forgot to ask the one thing I was meant to ask.

And feeling a bit sad for a pheasant who was in my drive when I got home, well I say drive, it's not so much a drive as just a bit in front of my house, anyway he was obviously injured & was limping, he'd perhaps been hit by a car He seemed to be asking for something so I gave him some bird seed. I hate the thought of animals suffering with injuries because people are too selfish and lazy not to run them over. Even people in my family always say "they'll get out of the way" when I yell if something is in the road, because they can't be arsed to slow down. Well they don't always get out of the way or there wouldn't be so much dead wildlife on the road would there and it's not a massive effort to use the brakes is it?
Ha, join the club Jinny! I can’t work my own DVD either. Infact I struggle to even turn the TV on at times and have to get hubby or son to show me. Doh!

I’m sorry your day at work was rubbish and then you had to come home to find the poorly pheasant in your drive. It sounds lovely and rural where you live if you have visiting pheasants I hope the poor little fellow will be alright

When we went to the Cotswolds and drove along narrow country lanes there were loads of pheasants mooching around in the hedgerows and sometimes they’d stand right in the middle of the road! Silly birds!! But, like you, we always slowed down and even stopped while other road users would go tearing by. One particular Pheasant that would run out of the hedge to greet us as we drove pass each morning we even named Phil

Feeling apprehensive...
My GP phoned me yesterday evening after reading the online questionnaire I filled in about my numb big toe. He wants me to go to the Surgery in the morning. I’m worried that they might discover that I have something seriously wrong with me, but I’m also worried that they might declare me as fit as a fiddle and I’ll be seen as a neurotic woman wasting their valuable time. I really can’t win

^^^ aw bikkie hope you feel better soon. Sometimes crying helps
In an odd way.

^ now now that's not true missy!

A bit hopeless. I see a guy on the way home I knew from school ( if it wasn't him it was his twin!), anyway I was so afraid he'd look up and see me I felt like I was running to get past his field of vision, power walking at least?

He's always friendly when I've ran into him in the past but I just don't know what to say to him, or explain why my life is so shit should he ask!

Just ****ing sick of it.

^ Haha. I miss the 90s

I have a weird thing about seeing people like that from the past. Just leads to a lot of negative worm holes, things I shoulda done blah blah blah.

Anyway, putting my oddness aside. You need to let the feelings go where they wanna biks otherwise one day you'll explode an batter someone to death with a marrow and nobody wants that

That must be a huge weight off your mind x

@ Multiple Miggs - You say this guy is friendly so I’m hoping he would show you some understanding not stand in judgement. Besides, there’s a very good chance that his life might not have gone in the direction he was hoping it would. That said, I would have hurried away in the other direction just like you!

@ Biscuits - Aww, I’m sorry you’re feeling so emotional
Sometimes having a really big cry can be very cathartic.
These feelings will pass. Take care x

Feeling incredibly sleepy, and can hardly keep my eyes open, let alone post anything sensible here. Being awake all last night probably has a lot to do with it.

. I really do feel terrible about it. I used to play at his house as a child and we was pretty good friends. I just don't see how anyone would not judge me for the ruin that is my current life though, and fear trumps any ' what ifs ' I can imagine

I'm a mess.
