Ugh, the idea of restarting something is enough to put me off sometimes.

Yeah, i've seen the 1st series. Started the 2nd but only got 2 or 3 eps in ... I will return to it soon enough though.

^ the second series is a bit meh compared to the thrilling first season imo.

I'm thinking about how all this will change society and the world. You'd think a we're all in this together mentality will prevail...Though much of the world reacted to the financial class screwing them over by lurching to the right, and voting in nationalist demagogues. So who knows

This was a weird TV show. I didn't even know they remade it with Elijah Wood as the depressed guy (they kept the same actor who played the dog)

Wondering how my covers ended up upside down: i've got my duvet and two blankets on top... and when i woke up the duvet was topside. Not in a ruffled/messy way neither - it was as if i'd deliberately made them that way...

The toilet seat was up too.

I can't understand why I've been feeling so rough this week :/
The last couple months I've been feeling quite good and had plenty of energy but now I just feel crapped out and it won't bugger off.

^ Lol, tell me about it
On my weekly shop I buy a stack of chocolate that I've been treating myself to every day because...well, it's lockdown isn't it. By the end of it all, I'll be the size of a house

@ Professor Willow - feel better soon and give yourself a little treat like myself and Mo

Oh don't, i'm enticed by all sorts from just popping out.
I think at the min some of it's boredom as well as an excuse to treat myself

Don't pop out is my policy. It's never enough to buy that one item that you intended to get - you got a spare hand there doing nothing, why not grab a bunch of random crap. I got two big bags of Kettles crisps and a pack of Belvita soft bake things last time

Yeah your probably right there.
The Tesco's express near me where I pop into for things, have all their on offer treat stuff as you walk in the door an all. I ended up with a double pack of jaffa cakes and some big pack of McCoys crisps for no particular reason. :/

Yep, scumbags. It's all wrong - that sort of food should be behind the counter - you should be made to ask for it.

I bought a tenners worth of cashews last time i did my big shop.

I was a good boy today when I did my shopping, I looked at the multipacks of chocolate and thought 'No, sir!' I decided I'd just make do with my tub of Ben & Jerry's and gigantic pack of chocolate digestives until the weekend when I reckon I'll deserve a treat for my austere dieting.

While I was out I noticed the chip shop has reopened, albeit with a 2-at-a-time policy. Plenty of people out and about too. Doesn't it seem a bit mad that just as we've become the worst hit country in Europe we're all gearing up to get back to normal?

^ Bizarre isn't it

Personally, I think we should all stay in lockdown until the end of the year and eat tubs of Ben & Jerry's ice cream

Sorry, that should have been in reference to the solo camping part! Not the buying of camping gear.

Ooh, you don't want to get me started on a YouTube spiral and on a sunny day too. She's a braver woman than I am, but would not have guessed an anxiety sufferer would do something like that.

Where were you planning on going in Wales like, Hesse? Were you planning on travelling there and doing a multi-day camp?

The annoying thing is, I've got a tent, backpack and boots butttt.... tent has a snapped pole, my backpack waist strap snapped and my boots have a hole in lol

Well, I've been looking at, suppose we could call them 'hidden places', around Britain.
The most marvellous place for natural beauty on our isles has to be Scotland in my opinion. There are loads of isolated places in outer regions of scotland.

I think there is also a train that runs once (or twice) everyday up in the highlands and its the very last stop in Scotland. I'd love to do that. I get really bored on public footpaths and talking about public footpaths, I also get really angry how much private land that isn't used in the UK. Its just there as some sort of trophy.

Have you looked on the atlasobscura website? that has loads of unusual places to cycle through.

equipment I'm wanting to buy is pretty much everything apart from a sleeping bag. I want to get good quality stuff because I am planning on using it regularly over the next year or so while I'm not working.

I'm not too bothered about sharing the trail with other people. Aslong as I don't get one of them awkward moments where someone else is walking at the same pace as me and I'm unable to get away from them lol

I need to do something to try and put a bit of life into my veins though.

I know, see I'd probably be comfortable doing it with a few people on here but just doesn't seem like many other people would be willing.

I want to do a few solo treks first though. I just need to get out there and do it all in my own time

Ha, thats a pet hate of mine too when Ime out hiking!! I normally 'put the foot down' to pull away from them, and that usually works. But if the pace is too high, then Ill let them pass me. Cant stand folk hovering around behind me when Ime out on the hills.
