I was seriously considering Lovefilm or Netflix last week to stream stuff onto my PC. I signed up for Netflix and they had none of the things I wanted to watch (not one). I cancelled it about 2 hours after signing up

There are free sites where you can stream movies and TV shows on t'net they'll do for me. Currently working my way through The Walking Dead on one of them.

With me, I much prefer American TV dramas than actual movies, and on reading reviews it said that Netflix was the best for this. But it literally had none of the things I wanted to watch, apart from maybe Dexter. Had some nice documentaries though.

Now i'm perfectly happy with the site I found that has everything I want to watch, and its free!

Netflix is better for TV and Lovefilm is better for films.

Though both services still have a lot of growing to do in terms of the catalogues that are available.

The biggest miss is HBO content, but I can't see either of the services getting HBO shows any time soon unfortunately. Sky Atlantic have rights to their catalogue pretty much nailed down, even in America you have to have an independent HBO license to get their shows on demand, which is a real shame!
