Post Favourite Movie Soundtrack

I watched 500 Days of Summer last night. It wasn't up to much but it had a decent soundtrack. My brother started going on about the forrest gump soundtrack being the best ever. I went for Death Proof or Apocalypse Now.

I like Braveheart. In fact, I like pretty much anything by James Horner.

Oh and The Deer Hunter of course...

I used to be a connoisseur of film music when I was younger but find it much too Wagnerian nowadays which is, I guess, an appropriate soundtrack to the Nietzschean times in which we live.
My favourite score using pop music: The Graduate.
With existing classical music: 2001 a space odyssey.
Original score, probably The Good, the bad and the ugly.

There's so many! But, as I'm in one of my quad-yearly Arnie moods...

At the moment, I'm particularly in awe of how solid and Jerry Goldsmith's score to Total Recall is. It's grand, muscular music, and goes completely hand-in-hand with the odd cosmic mood of the film.

Plus, those two James Horner pieces in 48 Hrs and Commando, rousing, heady and menacing with added sax blasts and Caribbean vibes (that 48 Hrs one isn't on YouTube ):

Fuxk it, posted it enough times. "Bloodsport"', Jean Claude Van Damme:

^ True story. Frank Dux was the first westener to win the ' Kumite' which is held in Japan and where opponents can be killed. . Van Damme portrayed Frank Dux in that film. 8/10

I love the soundtrack to Natural Born Killers because of the eclectic mix it has and it takes you through the film really well.

Also like Pulp Fiction, oh and Trainspotting

La Planet Sauvage - Alain Goraguer
Blade Runner - Vangelis
Apollo Atmospheres & Soundtracks - Brian Eno
Koyaanisqatsi - Philip Glass
Lisbon Story - Madredeus
One Flew Over The Cukoo's Nest - Jack Nitzsche
Live at Pompeii - Pink Floyd
Charlie Brown cartoons - Vince Guaraldi
Ennio Morricone, John Barry, Yann Tiersen, Zbigniew Preisner, and Woody Allen films always have a fine selection of cool vintage jazz.

I could go on, obviously!
