Hi, New User here
Hi, Just like to introduce myself, I'm Steve, 61 years old and have struggled with SA all my life. It has made me miss out on so many opportunities, personal and career wise but somehow I managed to just about keep going. I always tried to make friends, always going the extra mile to offer assistance and help, but even then people would always seem to keep me at arms distance. I do notice how others seem to easily make friends, to engage in conversations and yet when I try and start a conversation it becomes difficult and then awkward and I wish I hadn't tried at all.
I might be a little too old now but am hoping that I can gain encouragement and confidence from reading about others experiences and how they have coped and hopefully I am not too old to learn! Thanks for reading and hopefully I can contribute to various topics in the discussion boards. Steve |
