Re: How to vent anger?
I feel like that some days and beating the living crap out of a pillow helps or even screaming into on eases the anger. I also go into my own room away from anyone and stick my cd player on and listen to music to get rid of the negativity. I also became a buddhist so I learnt chants and breathing techniques that calm me down a lot.

Re: How to vent anger?
It depends how angry. If it's the bubbling under the suface anger then I agree that breathing techiniques as a form of meditation can be helpful in calming yourself down. Just centering yourself for a minute can work wonders. It also helps when you are about to face something anxiety related.
If it's too close to errupting into rage then I can't really help you I'm afraid as I'm not too good at handling that myself. I'm passive aggressive too. I tend to keep it all in but when the dam finally bursts you do not want to be in my way. :embarass: |

Re: How to vent anger?
Good bout of exercise helps get rid of that excess energy. Doesn't have to be an aggressive form of exercise either just something to use up that energy.
My own personal preferences is to weight train or go for a run or work heavy bag. |

Re: How to vent anger?
I've heard that Anger Management is good although I've never tried joining a class myself. It would probably be a good thing that I tried anger management as people (including therapist) keep saying it looks like I have a lot of anger that I'm unaware of. Still maybe I have maybe I haven't but depression is suposed to be anger turned inward.

Re: How to vent anger?
My form of 'anger management' consists of playing punk music very loudly and yelling along to the words with all my effort! That bottled negative energy has to go somewhere, it's best to get rid of it in a harmless way like that.

Re: How to vent anger?
Im a passive aggresive apologist. I get really angry at things that I really want to kick off about, I start to kick off, then I worry about what other people are thinking of me, and whether Im actually right to kick off, apologise for kicking off and find a door to leave through.
