Another Newbie

Hi all,

Where to start. Well, I'm almost 33, I've spent the last five years or so battling depression and anxiety after stupidly bottling up my feelings since I lost a loved one as a child. I have issues with self-esteem and also trust which has prevented me from putting myself out there, both in terms of work and dating. As a result I'm still a virgin and have never had a real boyfriend. I'm also stuck in a rut with my job, because if I even look for something else I keep telling myself I'm not good enough and that I won't get it, and I talk myself out of it. I take things too personally sometimes, and I over-think everything, particularly when I get to bed, hence I suffer with insomnia.

Every now and then I think I'm getting better, but then something small happens to flip my world upside down and send me crashing again. I thought I'd come here to speak with people who understand.
