Default Multi quoting

How do you do it?
I only know how to quote one post and that is obviously by clicking the quote option on that particular post and then deleting anything i don't want included
If anyone could let me know please bear in mind i'm a technoficky and explain it very slowly and clearly :crazysant

Ok. What I'll do is post some instructions on this thread. Bear with me, and then everyone can learn how to do it

Hey don't worry about asking anything Miss silver
As this shows, the chances are there will be others who are wondering the same thing and, anyway, how are you supposed to know anything until someone teaches you?

Thanks Occultus mate for the forthcoming info

No worries

Just working on it at the moment. It's gonna take me a little while longer, but I'll get there eventually :santa3:

There are sometimes I wish the old way (from the other board) was still available. However, it did lead to half a page been quoted over and over again.

Of course, if you don't need to quote the persons username again and just want to quote other extracts from their post, you can do the first quote as normal and then just use

^ You post:

[ QUOTE = username ] what they said [ / QUOTE ]

(without the spaces) and do this as many times as you wish for each person. So if you were quoting me you'd write (without the spaces):

[ QUOTE = amberfirez ] what amberfirez said goes here [ / QUOTE ]

Then you type whatever you want to underneath then do the same again for the next person:

[ QUOTE = occultus ] whatever occultus said [ / QUOTE ]

or you can use button, but it doesn't give you the option to add a name (but you can fill it in yourself by writing =username after the first quote.

Sorry, don't think I explained it very well!

Another way to do it is to open word or something like that. Then press the "quote" button on whoever you want to quote. Then copy and paste that into word. Then do that for whatever other quotes you want to use.

Hey thanks Amberfirez
Am i right then in thinking you have to type the quote out yourself inbetween the two quote tags? I thought each post i wanted quoted would be done automatically like it is when you press the quote option of the first post.....i probably haven't made much sense with this question

If I'm multi quoting I just right click on quote and open in a new tab/window for every post I want to quote and then copy and paste each quote into the same reply box.

Scroll down to the bit you want to quote and copy it. Then paste it between the tags.
