Like I need someone to talk to, yet not making any real effort to make it happen.

^Smudge, the one thing everyone keeps telling me about grieving is that you do whatever feels right for you. I've done some extraordinarily odd things since Em died. Just go with it if it makes you feel better

I'm starting to get paranoid now. Over the last 2/3 months that's 8 times now that different workmen, from different companies, have been meant to show up and not bothered (not forgetting a non delivery of flowers). Not even for work I want myself, but for stuff I'm told needs doing - bathroom fitted (and redone 3 times), gas check, electric check, asbestos survey. I even rang yesterday to double check they were coming.

So, each and every one hasn't shown up on the day they're meant to. Not one appointment has been kept. Then they show up when they're NOT meant to - just on the off chance. What the hell is wrong with people?
Stressed to the max.

Sounds just like my mum's recent experiences with council contractors. She lives alone and is highly vulnerable, yet has lost count of the times she's been let down with no shows, sloppy workmanship and a general lack of respect and courtesy. It's a sad reflection on the times when you half expect these kind of things to happen

A doctor was called out and luckily she was wonderful and is going to see me again on Monday to see what help I can be given, my usual gp has left apparently. That's one positive anyway.
I'm watching Elbow in concert on 301 now, I'd forgotten how perfect they are.

Glad you got such a nice Dr out. Try your best to forget the negativity of others - easier said than done I know. wishing you some calm to help recuperate, just remember you have a supportive community here who can relate to these difficult times. Best wishes

I'm ok, no call outs so far this weekend and considering Chinese takeaway for tea later, until then I'm going to clean and grease the headset bearings on bike #3.

Not bad. Cycled to work for the first time this morning. Not only did I get lost (trust me to); but my bike chain also came loose, which I wasn't sure how to fix so just walked the rest of the way. So I ended up 45 minutes late Luckily they didn't really mind as it was pretty dead today and then they let me go half an hour early. No problems with the cycle home though.

It's a Saturday night and I've nowhere to go, nothing to do. Wish I was out somewhere drinking elaborate cocktails and dancing to cheesy music.

All about the psychological fear that you got to look for what it is.

Nice one Mark

It's so often the way isn't it, our anticipatory anxiety being so much worse than the actual event itself.

It sounds like you have been having a tough time lately, Willow. Now you're at rock bottom the only way to go is up again

Ecstatic.

Had a great date last night, Italian food and meeting her parents! I was so scared of meeting her parents as I've never met anyone's parents before, lucky she suffers from SA too, we went to the pub next door for a quick power confidence beer.

Went very well and I am proud of myself for saying yeah why not meet them instead of taking the easy route

Had steak in peppercorn sauce. It also made me laugh, i went to a decently upclass everywhere for my Italian food and when the guy asked if I wanted to taste it I said no thanks just pour it. Probably because I am common as muck, lol.

It's so strange to get on with people, and think it isn't a joke or they're not trying to exploit me?

^well done for being brave thaigreen, glad you had a good time.

Feeling tired. I seem to have a choice: no sleeping pill and have a rubbish sleep (5 hours last night, woke up every hour) or sleeping pill and feel like a zombie the next day. Oh for a happy medium.

Groggy, I slept really heavy last night. I can feel how hard I've been working from the aches and pains in my body. I had a big tension knot in my back but a volunteer worked on it for me and it feels much better, I kept making moaning noises it was really embarrassing, he didn't complain.
Lets see what's happened to me lately - found some pot in a coat pocket yesterday, was donated some lovely Vivienne Westwood shoes which I had to try on and discovered they make fart noises as you walk, so lots of giggles had yesterday (oh that sounds like I smoked the pot, I didn't). Also some serious things, one of the younger volunteers that I've got admitted to me yesterday that she's feeling sad. I could tell something was up and asked her. I nearly reached out and grabbed her hand to tell her she was going to be ok but I stopped myself, I still don't know now if I should have or not. I sometimes worry that I go too far, I'm quite an intense person so have to monitor what I do so as not to freak people out. Anyway I'll be keeping an eye on her, she's very sensitive and remarkably brilliant, I'm probably not supposed to have a favourite volunteer but she's mine.

^It sounds like you've got a ton of confidence just lately, great to hear.

Still lonely, quite hopeless, wish I could stop waking up thinking about things that upset me, fairly sure I didn't get that job as they would have called by now. I missed a call from an unknown number yesterday but I don't think it was them.
