Siff, I managed to crash into a fence railing while cycling to work in the dark this morning (for some reason I thought I was able to cut a corner on the grass today), it was in-front of people too

Managed to cycle the rest of the way to work (although when I crashed I was closer to home so should probably have turned around) but I couldn't stop a cut on me elbow bleeding so I popped over to th medical centre in the village I work in asked if they could have a look at it so I got a tetanus shot some taping and a bandaged up arm as I had a "jagged and quite deep" cut on my elbow.

I also have a couple of impact point on my right leg which is stiffening up quite a lot now, I think I'm going to be pretty sore in the morning (and so did the nurse).

But I really don't like this! You should only be aware you have a heart when it's racing! Rest of the time you should be utterly heartless (least i'll go out on a pun )

Are you feeling any better now? I think you should get an appointment with a doctor if you're having chest problems.

Something like that. I'm not so good with the words ha. Or if that's too much SA wise then put something like that in an email.
Thanks, there wasn't a great moment to say anything today so I'm just going to let it go this time. Tbf she is new as manager, and my team leader said he knew it might not have been me. If something similar comes up though at least I'll feel more prepared to address it.

Another day, another six hours of resisting the urge to go back to bed because it's the closest thing to being dead and who the **** gives a shit about me anyway.

I'm feeling better for getting out. Took myself off to Amberley Working Museum, not necessarily totally my cup of tea but it's not too far away so I thought why not. Wasn't bad, did the little train ride and wandered through everything from old engine's and workshops to old woodworkers and broom makers and everything in between. Left my car and went for a walk in the surrounding countryside. Must go back and do the South Downs way from there as the scenery is wonderful. I need to try and do more stuff like this I guess rather than sitting in. It is a bit lonely on your own tho.

How do you manage to resist? Every day I try but once the thought of 'I could just close my eyes and pretend I don't exist and hopefully doze for a couple of hours' worms its way in, I can't not give in to it. The only way is if I need to be out doing something, and I know the obvious answer is to always be out doing something, but I can only deal with so much and it actually makes me want to sleep even more after. A two hour nap will then become a 5 hour sleep.

And I'd like to echo Jam and also say you're pretty great. I'm a big creep so everything I say is creepy by default, and I won't bother trying to pretend otherwise, but it's true.

Sorry to hear you are feeling like that...
You know there's one small person who loves and needs you so much that they couldn't even begin to imagine life if you weren't there to look after them. Because you always have been there for them.

Me too.

@Merritt You don't sound creepy at all, I appreciate your reply. It's very hard for me to resist once the thought enters my head too and I usually give in. My ex was my one and only friend, and now I don't have him in my life anymore, I find my days off (which I'd normally spend with him) hard to deal with, so I just sleep through till it's time to pick up my son from school and I can feel like there's a point in being awake again.

@anxiouslondoner Thank you so much. And believe me I know. I'm incredibly lucky to be mum to my lovely wee boy. It's funny, one of the first things they ask when I speak to GPs about my mental health is 'how are you coping with your child?' in other words 'are you neglecting your child?' The answer is quite the opposite. He's a relief from it all and my only motivation for metaphorically punching myself in the face and getting on with it.

sorry to butt in here, just wanted to ask how have your gps treated you regarding your mental health? a big reason i havent ever spoken to a gp or anyone about how bad my mental health sometimes is because im so scared they would think i cant look after my children. Im worried about getting some kind of inspection.

your obviously a great mum , i hope you feel better soon

I wish I could just casually make conversation with someone I'm attracted to like a normal person.

He's probably married anyways.
Doesn't stop him looking at me like I'm a cheeseburger though.

I still get terrified every time I go. My mum tells me I'm being stupid but they've taken kids away from their parents for less than what I'm going through, but for what it's worth no one has ever even come close to suggesting I'm incapable of looking after my son and I really think you should go to your GP. Given how long you've been struggling on your own with this, I can't see that even entering their heads.

Tired and a bit meh. I shouldn't really as I did alright today, just about anyway. I went to join the interview panel at MIND for a new manager in a new area. (The village I live in). Obviously I was there as representing service users. The others were the deputy CEO, Someone from the NHS pathfinder network and someone else who's a Trustee but also heavily involved in the funding and planning. So I was a bit out of my depth
I was fairly anxious to begin with but got more relaxed once the interviewing started.
We sat and had lunch together and carried on. Then discussed everything at the end. My input was minimal I guess though they insisted on including me. My scores were at least roughly the same as theirs! So at least I must have been being vaguely intuitive.

I'm not sure why I feel a bit glum. Tiredness maybe, or maybe i'm just sub consciously weighing up my inadequacies against everyone else (more than likely). Still I survived it which is something. Got another one for a different post on the 18th March.

@ Mo Well, considering you now know the reason for feeling so 'Meh' yesterday the fact that you took part in MIND's interview panel is even a bigger achievement. Hope you feel a little less meh today

I've been stuggling with a bad bout of Depression all day today. My mood is crashing by the hour and I feel like crying accept even that doesn't come easily these days, probably because of the medication. I thought forcing myself out into the sunshine yesterday to do some much needed gardening would do me some good but it obviously hasn't. My body aches all over and I feel thoroughly miserable. And no it's not period related because I've just finished one
