I tried that, but I wasn't allowed. Never mind, maybe next year!

Ask in the "Garage" - I get a failure as well when trying to add something manually - yet I was able to before ("my wee sister's wedding" tomorrow).

I usually think my SA started at age 19 when I moved to London to go to college, but I can remember a couple of things from my childhood that must have been the beginnings of it.
Once when I was about 13 I was supposed to be going sky-diving with a group of teens from our church, but on the journey there I developed a "headache" and insisted on going home. The reason - I didn't know anyone very well and felt really out of place / shy.
Also, I know I ran away from school age 5!! I can't remember why, but I think it may have been for similar reasons!

43 going on 16 at times. D'you know what, I think inside every SA sufferer is a wounded kid. The key to this condition is getting in touch with that wounded kid and telling it that they are ok. I actually got this from a book, but it made a lot of sense to me. Also, if it helps anyone, my CBT therapist has said that SA is only one part of me but she has suggested I focus on my other strengths (which I know I have).

57 though look 47. I think its the lack of drinking and partying to all hours that keeps us Saers looking relatively young.

Hmm - anyone know if anyone has done any research into whether people with SA tend to look young?

I'm 41, but look more like 31. But I drank / partied myself stupid when I was younger.

Hi, I'm new and will post an intro soon. Figure my SA began around age 11 or 12.

I'm 53 - 54 in Feb. Don't mind my age one bit but wish gravity would just leave me alone!
