I'm not surprised. Handy to have that lady, although I suppose a study will take time. I hope the new GP will be of some use. I'm quite lucky with mine. She is brusque and listens. Perfect. It's such a crapshoot with them, isn't it? Maybe you can mention someone is doing a study. It sounds official.

Keep getting Microsoft verification codes on my phone today that I haven't requested.

Just changed my personal account password to be on the safe side but it verifies seemingly by email. So I guess it must be my work account, which is def. txt verification.
I'm assuming it means someone is trying to access/hack the account.

^ Hi Nanuq, Sorry you're going through all this- don't feel bad about not coping with it or 'being strong' all the time. I expect the depression/anxiety is part of the illness. My partner always found that when he had breathing problems because of his illness it made him more anxious/depressed. It definitely isn't your fault if you feel you're not coping well.

I hope the Dr will listen to what you're saying as your ideas about your condition sound very well researched and likely to be the case- it's a shame they have these ideas about 'anxious women' and are more likely to listen to your husband.

There are so many women who have hormone-sensitive auto-immune illnesses and as you say it isn't researched anywhere near enough. Sorry you're feeling alone with all this- sending a hug from me.

I did read some advice that said, take a man with you, because if you've got a man to take you seriously, they might take you seriously. Who knows if that's true. Worth a try.

Well maybe he wants to remain anonymous and that's ok

I started reading Demian recently, and I had to look up what the real Hermann Hesse looked like because I'd built up an image of SAUK Hesse overtime in my mind and when I began the book, I had the perception it of him as the character lol

Where ever you are Hesse, hope all is well or at least not too bad.

I'm thinking I don't want to be on meds- they just make me feel worse with more side affects. ffs. heart pains.... i reckon its olanzapine. friend scared me saying he ended up in hospital with Olanzapine and his heart stopped. massive reaction.. not sure if it's anxiety though.

^ Definitely talk to your doctor (or whoever prescribed the meds) about the side effects.

^^ Oh I see, well they should have known better then! (I'm such a killjoy lately, no fireworks fun for anybody )

^^ November isn't early to start though.

I just don't understand why we (my family) buy for each other when we're telling one another what we want And this has been going on for years now. I'd rather make sure we've got good food & drink and focus on entertainment.

Last time, my aunt insisted on buying me some £130 shoes. I felt obliged to return 'the favour' but of course couldn't afford that amount but still spent more than I could afford. I dread to think what she's got planned this year as I'm more skint than ever. And don't get me started on Papa Kooks. He tells me what he wants (this year; slippers, calendar and chocs) and in return I get £20 in my card and on top he goes and buys stuff I don't want. This year he planned to get me a mug from the cats but instead he's buying me a onesie (whhhyyy?!). And I realised the other day that he's replaced the bottle of vodka he used to get me every year with a huge box of choccie Brazil nuts. I don't like them either. It's like he's never met me
How did you 'realise' what he's bought? Have you been sneaky??

I'm accepting of anything my mum or dad want to get me - with my dad it's money and with mum she'll pester with ideas before i say yes to something, and whatever that something costs isn't a thought (though obviously it's within reason). I don't feel the need to buy her something of equal value and i'm certainly not gonna give my dad the same sum of money back!

Do it. The whole thing is utter nonsense.
It's all pressure, oneupmanship, status & void of any soul.

How about just be decent & genuine with other decent & genuine friends/family members all year round - instead of pretending and then handing them an Oral B at Christmas.
