Intro
Hi IM age 41 female just joined the forum. Im new to all this. I wouldnt say Im scared of people much but I have a complete inability to connect with them. This makes it so every time I attempt to socialise I end up sat silently failing to join in. Conversation about any of the common topics doesnt come naturally:
kids TV travel university spouses the topics Im good at discussing are: spirituality philosophy food psychology self help health computers weather Ive talked to 1000s of people and still I havent got the knack of how to not be stiff and unnatural, desperately working my arse off to think of something to say. Anyone relate to this?

I understand where you are coming from. I struggle with any kind of conversation on any topic most of the time. At least you are trying though. 'Fake it 'til you make it' as someone once said to me. I am ashamed to say that I don't try, I have all but given up.
